I am too, about everything including spontaneous baking/cooking projects. You'll find out what I'm doing when I'm done. :argh: Sal's questions would drive me up the wall.

That said, I still have the distinct impression that Hil's writing strategy was just to sit down and let the words flow with no preplanning or plot mapping ahead of time. Like she'd just write her first sentence and the whole rest of the book would just plop out of her from there.





This is a dumb way to write a novel, but it's understandable that she would go about it this way since she's a preteen.

I've said it before, but I think it's worth repeating that the character art in this strip is fantastic. Whereas in so many other strips (particularly modern ones, but to some degree with older ones as well) you tell people apart from their clothing and hair, everybody in Big Ben Bolt has their own identifiable face. It's refreshing.
