If this is all going to end in a loss to Fiji, I'm going to go loving spare.

Forfeit to Fiji, no front rows available in the nation of Wales.

goatface posted:They will hammer them in a faultless display of snappy set pieces, fluid running, and dominance at the breakdown. They will look like a team who would make the All Blacks seem clumsy and disorganised, who could take on the rest of the world XV and win comfortably. But they're only playing the USA. We are forever, slightly worse than our opposition when playing tier 1 nations. Though bizarrely, in 2014, Scotland was the most "successful" of the old 5 Nations sides against the SANZAR teams since the end of 2007.

Is there any alternative to ITV for streaming online? I've signed up and so far it's been 6 minutes of ads, and nothing else. I can watch other ITV shows, however. edit: hooray, 8 minutes of land rover ads before getting to see the footy. Mr Chips fucked around with this message at 04:06 on Sep 27, 2015 |

Holy poo poo. It's four in the morning and I've done two shows and a cast party and I've twisted my knee and I feel like death and none of it matters because despite half of our team being crippled I've somehow just watched Wales beat England at Twickenham. I managed to get all the way home without knowing the score too, so that makes it double-good. God knows where we go from here though: do we even have any dedicated centres left? And did Liam Williams actually get booted in the head? I might just be super tired but I didn't notice that on the ITV footage. But still: holy poo poo. Mostly I just hope Biggar's done enough to have earned his own status as a world-class kicker: he's too good to just be thought of as Halfpenny's number two. Edit: Liam Williams has said on Twitter that he's alright. Bit of a sore head, but alright. Hope he passed concussion protocols then. fallingdownjoe fucked around with this message at 04:12 on Sep 27, 2015 |

I'm happy about the result for sure, and I don't mind a good grinding game of Rugby where it's tough at the breakdown and it's low scoring. But this wasn't that kind of game. Just lots of penalties, bad execution, rubbish scrums. Name one aspect of the game of Rugby that was played well in this game apart from place kicking. Even the open play kicking was mediocre. Two bad teams.

I am amazed that there was no yellow card for killing the ball in the 22m from either team. It happened pretty much every time and nothing ever happened to discourage them other than the three points, which is less than seven so it was worth doing.

Yet another mistake ridden game this RWC. The IRB should send all the teams to a psychologist conference. The Wallabies look like they're all trying way too hard and making stupid mistakes. Quade Cooper excepted, he's just being his usual moron self. What an idiot.

So the USA team to play Scotland today is actually somewhat more experienced in international rugby than the Scots. Plus the Scots have had only 4 days to rest from the Japan game. Thus the Eagles should manage to lose by only 10-15 points! Seriously though today is the only time I will not want to fly over the pond and strangle any England fans in the stands at a non-England game, because cheering against Scotland equals cheering for USA. Looking up good Dave Denton pics for my avatar now.

That was an easy, easy try, but there was some play before it that was sloppy as gently caress. They ran a nice looping dummy, but when Quade looked for the pass to the man outside him there was nobody there. 20 yards in from the sideline and nobody on the outside of the runner.
