I just finished a mobile game called Lifeline. BK just finished it too and he needs to be online in the middle of the night so we can talk about it. I really enjoyed it. Reminds me of a Telltale game. Highly recommend.

So, I'm really excited for The Martian, it looks like a great cast, great writer, one of my favorite directors, and I decided to read the book. The book is fun but kind of terrible in a few ways, a lot of the writing feels really amateur, there are a couple instances of lawl pirate ninja lawl jokes, the female characters are either OMG STONE COLD BITCH or ~*simpering flowers*~ and the dialogue occasionally reads like it was written by a fifteen year old ("it's gonna take a buttload of fuel" says an actual person in a NASA meeting). This has not weakened my excitement for the movie though. I think it's a book that would work better as a screenplay in capable hands. Mafia thread what are some of your favorite movies that are better than the books they are based on? Mine is American Psycho.

this onslaught of new writers with one-hit-wonders like john green, andy weir, ernest cline and others just really runs into that problem for me a lot, LUTR. like their writing is either okay, or exceptionally bad. but they get a pass because of the content of their work, which confuses me.

We occasionally fall into ruts where lazy play leads to town losing more than they should. Sometimes game design plays a part in this too. Town absolutely do win though.

My mom used to be a lot like that Ecco, which is extra funny since she's the one who moved to another state. But things have chilled and she's learned to be a lot less high strung on that stuff. It is actually a really surprising development though and I never would've expected it before it happened. It's a lot easier to have a good relationship with someone who is not constantly guilting you about your current bad one.
