I really like Umaru as a series, and I hope that The Jobless Siblings does something more with its premise in the future, much like Umaru did when it moved past just "Umaru is a selfish poo poo" stuff. It managed to continue to have that for a time, while bringing in new characters and making the whole thing more interesting, before evolving past the original premise, but without losing the charm. I still really like The Jobless Siblings, but I feel like there's only so far you can take the "two shut-in siblings" gimmick, which I feel like the Umaru author realized pretty quickly and was better for it. Then again, Jobless Siblings is 1-5 pages a chapter(why such a disparity of pages between chapters?), though Umaru isn't much longer.

  Also the neighbor lady eventually starts hanging out with everybody which is neat. The Jobless Siblings is different from Umaru where the run into the ground joke is that umaru is a spoiled brat in that the joke is about two siblings having fun and goofing off and loving each other with their friends and family. Direct comparison doesn't really work, it's already at the point Umaru is at and only gets more fun as more and more people start hanging out.
