The only thing I will settle FOR is more chapters of One Piece. Also the spoiler tag doesn't work with the timg tag.

I feel like we're gonna be getting into the really weird stuff from here on out. An entire island halfway on fire and half frozen solid seems relatively tame in comparison

Looks like that fox lady Chopper and crew encounter was one of the Minkmen of Zou. Wonder what makes them different than Zoan fruit users.

It's probably worth looking back at this chapter, even though it wasn't too long ago: http://kissmanga.com/Manga/One-Piece/One-Piece-795--Suicide?id=237106 That mountain must have been the elephant's trunk, and the weird looking ground is clearly elephant skin. I wonder how Sanji got up there so fast- the scene opens with him on the sea, and then he shows up to rescue the others after that "eruption." Maybe the way up the elephant is to get sucked up by its trunk and blown out... Such a cool island! Edit: Never mind, I was reading the scene wrong. They were never on the sea, there was just a random shot of the sunny and then they cut to them all on the island in two different groups. I think the new guy's name is Weible, that's an actual name unlike Weeble. Same pronunciation. I'm 99% sure he has no real relation to Whitebeard but it's interesting that he's about the same strength. Whatever fruit he has must be pretty drat strong.

Probably the shake shake fruit or something. He's Whitebeard's Bellamy.

I'll be damned if this arc hasn't been sold on the setup alone. Seriously, an island on the back of a giant elephant. Its odd to realise I'm actually familiar with the likely source of inspiration for this (namely, the concept of elephants carrying the world, which also inspired Discworld), but drat if the imagery isn't amazing. Also re: Whitebeard's 'son' - I would imagine he genuinely believes it, and that its mother who is likely to be lying, having fed this idea of the kid being Newgate's child, for whatever reason.

This is absolutely the sort of poo poo I love about one piece. The impossible, fantastical poo poo like skypiea, island-sized sea monsters, or this one atop the back of a millenia-old eyeless titanic pachyderm

I'd be surprised if that's Lola - she was a pretty decent, moral sort despite her eccentricities. Maybe a relative?

People have been speculating that Lola's mother (who is apparently some kind of big shot in the New World, according to Lola) is actually Big Mom. This chapter adds another potential candidate, I guess.

This chapter adds another potential candidate, I guess. People were speculating it up until Big Mom got revealed. Big Mom being this monstrous being who eats everything kinda killed that speculation. Bucking having that pigtailed Jolly Roger does sort of lend itself to Lola, as well as them having similar personalities pursuing men if we assume Bucking is wrong about being Whitebeard's lover.

It's pretty much the plot of that Adams family movie where Fester returns but he is actually just pretending in order to steal their money and his mother is a bitch.

Considering how much emphasis was put on Zou being around for a thousand years, I wonder if we'll get some more story concerning the Void Century. The age of the elephant and the whole seclusive tribe deal just give off that vibe to me.

For people disappointed that Weeble is a shichibukai - keep in mind there's two other new slots too, with Law and Doflamingo out of the frame (though I have a feeling the shichibukai might be on the way out in the story's future). Plenty of room for SERIOUS GUYS. Shichibukai shortlist: - The guy with the propeller hat from Orange Town - Gin - Gaimon - Foxy - Paulie - Wiper - Starfish guy - Yeti Cool Brother #2 - The marine from the G-8 filler arc - The Corrida Colosseum announcer - The guy who asked Gold Roger where he buried the treasure Cat Machine fucked around with this message at 15:41 on Oct 1, 2015 |

Is Weeble supposed to be the mysterious, un-named Warlord who killed Z's family and cut off his arm? He seems more like a new guy getting promoted now that Luffy done messed up the Warlord ranks again.
