After wiping my rear end in a top hat bloody with campus shitter paper all week (Bristol 3s are the WORST.), I was so excited to poop somewhere other than a public restroom that I held it for 2 hours and sped home from work. ... And locked my keys in the car. Now I am pooping in the nearest public restroom: the one on campus with the razor shitter paper.

Lost Colony is alright, and Zoe's Tale is just a retelling of that from someone else's persective The Human Division is ok but the main character is a giant loving mary sue The End of All Things is pretty good but it does have one really out of place portion of the book and it ends pretty abruptly. Scalzi is a damned good author though and you should read all his stuff

I respect your opinion but I think he's kind of a lovely author who's far better at winning popularity contests than he is at writing interesting novels. There's quite a few authors who I think are doing well in the military sci-fi genre and once I stop being so lazy I might throw a list together. ^^^^I think you and me are the only goons who have read Germline. It's terrific. I've read Old Man's War and came away feeling that it was just a competently written novel. Scalzi isn't especially flashy. Very workmanlike. Leagues above The Martian tough.
