I've been crazy busy at work and unable to do my normal grouping on red. Is CC an OK place to solo as a 30 ench for short periods of time (like the 30m or so I have after I get home after double shifts and totally crash.)

Spent the night down in Najena trying to get a Shovel of Earth with no luck. If anybody has one laying around I'll buy it off of you. Shaman pet just costs too much mana to try and get a high level one without reclaim.

I deleted my HS key because unless I go with Lacie and Sadad I have a bad bad time. Plus then anyone that asks me to drag a corpse in there I can tell them no. I'd love to - Chest is always telling me about the huge amounts of mob they're killing, especially on weekends. We're currently going through a really rough time in my family, and I get maybe an hour or two a night sometimes to play a game, and EQ just isn't conducive to being able to get poo poo done in that small of window. Takes half of that just to get your destination, then to get setup in camp, then I'd have to leave after the first pull. Toss in a corpse run and I'm screwed.

I might be able to help you with this - I usually just AE all the gators in cazic a few times and typically get a drop or two. If you REALLY want a shovel in particular it might take longer. If I have time tonight or tomorrow I'll see what I can do.

I said last night I destroyed many brooms not shovels! think I maybe saw 1 shovel every 3 days of 3hr sessions, definitely not common, most of that time would be around widowmistress area, think I got em off DB skels

loving nerds edit: also for the dude looking for a shovel: Go to CT and kill the gators. You can use any of the 4 items(broom, shovel, torch, stein) just slightly different turn in materials for the quest. They drop rate is waaaay better in CT. Klaymen hooked me up with a shovel, I was aiming for it over the others mostly because I had a ruby and other giant toes are a lot more expensive. Just a bonus that it's the best of the four for killing pet dogs.

The thing is, all the parts of the quest are repeatable - I assume that Everquest has no way of tracking if you've done a quest or not. Some people even enlist the help of a porter to repeat the very first gem turn in like 70 times. So all you actually have to do to get the epic is max your faction, turn in the child's tear to trigger the final boss, and then turn in the final piece that you loot off the boss.

I've done everything up to that step, turned in the first gem a couple of times grabbing it whenever I'm in Rathe then turning it in whenever I'm in Freeport area. Also holding Woe and Envy for a second turnin, but I had to gate on the paladin and someone else killed him before I got back unfortunately. I saw a level 60 Bard basically solo Black Dire by kiting him around the pond area so at least it doesn't seem like you need too many people to help.

I can solo black dire on my monk, it's not like you need a full group of 60s for it or something. And I'd love to help both of you but I don't get a lot of time to log in right now - usually I just try and pass out UG officer tags. Next time I see one of you online we can at least check to see if it or advisor is up, that's all I can promise. And Pyro, you crazy (but I'm kinda jelly). Velious raids are my favorite but there's no way I can swing that schedule anymore.

Howling Stones. Velks is worth a shot too. If giant fort in BW is uncamped that could be a good small group spot. Skyfire works decently well with a rogue/necro duo. There are probably some good groups in Kael at your level too.
