Anyway, be charitable, goons. Thomas the cat actually does do good work. Apparently the spergs asked him to make a gal-X like that and he did it for them. ETA: to anyone who does get this new ship, it is your duty to make use of these parts, be they the canted nacelle pylons or the big weird nacelles, to put together something truly abominable and then show it to us. 3000z is what, 650k dil? The old goomba is the one ship I always meant to get but never got around to. I've never bought a fed c-store ship but making the USS poo poo ugly monstrosity for those times I have to fly a fed toon to risa or something isn't so bad. Gonna have a think I guess.

I would assume it's an oversight in the blog post rather than an actual change. The ability to waste a precious console slot on a stupid gimmick is pretty important to the core audience for a T6 Gal-X.

No and No. Go all beams or all cannons. Actually, scratch that, just go all beams, cannons are in a bad place right now. You can justify DBBs if you're using antiproton and flying a sufficiently zippy ship.

Yeah all beam arrays + borg cutting beam. Also Command is pretty underwhelming I recommend Intel primary and pilot secondary. Of course we're due for a new spec with the new season coming so you could just hang onto your points in case they release one that's better than Intel at this point.

You don't need an intel ship to use the intel specialization. You need an intel ship to use intel boff powers. Even without an intel ship, you can use boffs that are specialized, you just can't use any of those specialization powers. That's across the board: The spec trees are almost entirely unrelated to the ship. They do let you train your boffs, but the stuff you get directly from the tree applies to everything.
