It's a federal holiday but technically the gov't doesn't give the day off. However, I don't think we ever worked that day in the AF. It looks like most of the Navy guys I work with aren't planning to work, but Top Gun/CAEWWS classes are still scheduled, so ymmv I guess.

Eh the plugs on the adapter if adjustable may be too tight or too loose. Or if it's the non adjustable type they may be supplying you with the wrong strength of blanks.

Some scumbag carjacker from the local casino decided to evade police by crashing the gate last night at fort meade and hiding in a stormdrain until morning. They loving shut the place down looking for this guy, so he's pretty lucky they didn't shoot his dumb rear end when they found him.
