This resembled the right-to-left horizontal writing style of languages such as Arabic with line breaks on the left. It was probably based on the traditional single-row right-to-left writing. This form was never widely used except for pre-WWII official documents (like banknotes), and has not survived outside of some temple name signs.

The arcs get a bit longer after bake although not as long as Nise. Most arcs end up being 4-5 episodes. That said they aren't really slower paced so much as they are more indepth, I'd say

I honestly don't think Nise's longer episodes added any more nuance to the stories than was in Bake. Everything after Nise did, certainly, but not Nise.

Nise's big pacing crime was spending a couple of episodes in the beginning doing nothing but reintroducing all the characters from Bake.

So I watched the first two eps of the bakemonogatari character commentary and this is amazing. instead of whats on screen, they talked about ants! Hanekawa's favorite FMA charater is Kimblee! Senjougahara really wants a slide rude!

Sodachi is cute, but Araragi should probably just stay away from her. She is a font of hatred, and that's not healthy. She's pretty much the internet, angry at people for doing things that only effect themselves. I like her OP. The Monty Hall problem is what first made me fall in love with probability.
