Captain Banigan, not so much. He was my CO at one point and while I personally never had issue with him, I know plenty of people that did. SPACE HOMOS might be able to elaborate more.

I don't live on base, but there are a bunch of us everywhere. I've actually toyed with the idea of making an intel megathread before, but is's such an opsec disaster and we'd have nothing to talk about anyways I just don't bother.

It would no less become a "what pokemon is your badge number????" gently caress that gets annoying quick. Yeah i'm trying to do the PCS thing as well so I can get the gently caress off this base.

Would seriously like to keep in touch as you go through your transition. Will definitely be PMing you.

As I count down my months starting to have various feelings of anxiety/fear/jubilation every day. I've known nothing in life other than the Navy. Enlisted one month after high school in 2005. Before that moved from a third world country to USA from 6-12th grade.

On a different note anyone know what it's like to be a civilian shipyard worker on the more management side (planning or project management)? I'm looking at some jobs on USAjobs.gov and see spots available at the RMC in Japan. Wouldn't mind going back there and heck maybe I'll even get to see the drat country cause I won't be on a ship.

Yeah man, absolutely.

I guess I'll start jotting notes as they come, I've been thinking about the Navy quite a bit lately and especially about my current job. As I move on I've given myself a whole bunch of time to reflect on it before I start school, so, we'll see what comes of it.
