Haha, whoops. I guess I missed that last chapter. Crazy theory: Buggy is called "Buggy The Clown" as a reference to a harlequin or clown. This is why he has a circus theme.

Smoker is like Garp in that they'll ignore orders from Marine HQ to chase after an important pirate (Luffy, Roger). Coby has all the fittings to lead the Marines in a reform era and we could see in his progression from East Blue to Water 7 to Marineford that he's going to be powerful by the end of the series.

I just read the latest chapter, and man, I had to do a double take when Dragon just sort of casually appeared. His face wasn't covered and he had normal dialogue with another character! Maybe I'm forgetting another instance, but Dragon's been shrouded in mystery for so long it's really refreshing to just see him occasionally.

One thing I just noticed. During Marinford, Buggy was treated as a kind of prophet or otherwise holy person by all of his new followers. And eventually, one of his followers became Hajrudin. During Dressrosa, the first person to call Usopp "God" was Hajrudin. So it's like he traded one deity for another by leaving Buggy and following the Straw Hats.

I've typed up a reply to all the posts that I got in response to my question last page, but it's quite long. 14, 000 words quite long, which is 5.5 pagedowns on my laptop. I kind of want to discuss it, but I don't want to piss on a lot of folks faces by starting a debate with such long posts if it's something that'll annoy people so I guess I'm just checking if people are actually interested or if I should just delete it and let everyone move on. I think I was ultimately more interested in where the idea sprang from for different posters than anything anyways, and that's been adequately explained by a few folks, so perhaps it's best to leave it at that.

Re: Observation Haki I'm pretty sure there's two different kinds of Observation - the kind that allows you to tell what move the person you're immediately fighting is about to use, that most people can use, and a more powerful version that Aisa, Enel, and Coby have that allows you to sense where people are, even from long distances, based on their "voice" that you can hear. Rayleigh told Luffy that most people specialize in one type of haki, I don't know if he meant specialize to the extent that you can use an enhanced form, but they appear to. I don't think Luffy has ever been shown to be able to detect people remotely.
