Cryptic games at least have an identity, there's redeeming qualities going on. Dressing up your character is really fun and there are other good things in those poo poo piles somewhere. Star Trek was at least decent for a while before it went completely to poo poo and Champions had the potential to be pretty good even before they killed it. No excuse for Neverwinter though, that game has always been a grind with a broken economy and all their bullshit has spread to the other games and made them worse for it.

Also no making GBS threads on Secret World please, that game is really unique and does well to build a world you can get lost in, the big problem is it shouldn't have been an MMO.

One of the images that came up on GIS is a girl with a Final Fantasy sword on a motorcycle in weird anime thong armor that covers the shoulders and arms more than the torso and the camera is right up her rear end.

That summarizes Scarlet Blade pretty well.

I have no idea how it plays but the aesthetic is the kind of thing where you imagine everyone is just sitting idle in the main city in a massive, half-naked anime girl lump, and you don't want your imagination to go any further than that. The character models are actually sort of creepy on some level to me; I think it's the doll-like faces they have. They just seem so lifeless in screenshots.

They had a combat overhaul a while back but it didn't really help all that much. Game's good enough to tolerate bad combat mechanics though, it has many things it's really good at was sort of my point.

Sex sells thats just the reality we live in. Its no different if a girl with big boobs decides to live stream and gets alot of viewers b/c of her bust size. There will always be people who frown upon it, but its not their right to decide what we seek in entertainment. If you don't like certain things in you're entertainment then stay away from it and let others enjoy it. Japan is Japan their culture is handled in a mature way compared to ours. Thats why they make games with fanservice on a daily basis. Its a popular trend in Anime and real life

Is there some way to add friends by account name rather than per character? I didn't think they had a system for it, even though even loving Cryptic does.

Yeah, and it'd be a pleasant surprise to hear they added some sort of accountwide ID poo poo or that it was always there but no one loving used it.

I mean, I doubt there is one but gently caress it, may as well ask, though it is ridiculous that it doesn't; it's a pretty standard thing these days, it seems.

This video does a rundown of why Scarlet Blade exceptionally terrible. Its more typical MMO sins are eclipsed by that. (I would post the video inline, but the thumbnail is potentially NSFW)

Wildstar might technically be a better game than this, but is more fun to poke at since most of its issues stem from arrogance and mismanagement.

Yes, it does. I haven't played since the month after release and when the wife and I decided to kill time and make new characters on the PvE realm (our original characters were migrated to the one PvP realm), she was already in my friends list. So that, at least, has been there since launch.

I don't remember how I added her. I'll test out next time I play and let you know.

When you add contacts, you can add by character or by account, I think.

If anybody wants into this dumb guild, just message Manifest Dynasty and then make a dumb in-joke and also register on the off-site and also make an off-site and also put your social security number in the message so I know it's you.

I talked to players who think the game just needed to be harder to get people to play, I assume the only people who played Wildstar from beta to now, are the most fervent true believers. The way some people defend the Carbine you'd think croberts ran the company.

Fake edit: Good news, people are trading caps in BGs so you can skip leveling and stop playing this game even faster.

However, in a stunning coincidence, fully 100% of the mods are literate. We can read the posts you're reporting, and we understand that while "your a fanboy whom sucks, lmao no kappa" is a lovely post, it's not porn.

If you're going to report something, ask yourself:

• Does it actually break a rule, or does it just annoy me?

• What's the actual reason it breaks a rule?

If you're using the reporting function appropriately, then thank you.

Never hopefully. There's far more important things to worry about fixing. I know someone who works at Carbine and they are never going to be told about this. This also takes too much organization to get working too. Two sides need to queue up at the same time and ideally both need to be full of people who are all in on this.
