I got an ethernet adapter but I'm still getting bursts of unstable connection, maybe it's all the college kids clogging the tubes!  Cialis Railman posted:I see. When you're ink striking use the map to figure out where your team is shooting at and lay down an ink strike behind the enemy position forcing them to either go forward and most likely get splatted or to back up and lose that territory since your team now has cover to approach. Ink strikes on grated areas are especially good at inconveniencing other players. If you're using the brush, your sprinkler covers as about as much area as an inkstrike and if you get good at jumping around spraying ink it's definitely faster to do that than inkstrike, so try to use them tactically. What the inkbrush needs is kraken and splat bombs in my opinion

I found some clearanced bathroom garbage cans and bolted them together and then there's some pine circles hot glued on the ends and then a jelly jar on top with a bike light inside. I can put together a tutorial of sorts if you really want it but it's just some garbage cribbed together. I had originally tried to mold a sheet of plexiglass with less than stellar results. My hat I guess I could make a tutorial for. More photos to come Sunday.

As is my tradition, I made it to car defender before calling it a night. I got hooked up with a good team and made it in record time. This might be my favorite splatfest yet, I like all these maps and the connections have been pretty stable so far. The 96 Gal Deco is quickly becoming my bag, especially since all these maps have long sightlines where long range dominates (Except the skatepark, maybe,) and players insist on using short range sprayers. I don't make it above 3rd on my team very frequently, but its worth it when I can keep other players down and let the rest of my team ink in peace. You can kinda tell I don't use the kraken frequently, because I don't get very many kills with it. But it's useful for breaking through enemy turf, and it's a good psychological weapon--at one point, I managed to push a guy into the path of my teammates killer wail.  It's impossible to predict how a splatfest will go just by a handful of battles, but most of my wins were pretty solid, with maybe one or two complete routs and a few close ones. I think things are pretty even this time around, at least skillwise.

Rolled my first triple-stat item. Any suggested weapons/gear combos I could make off it? Mostly rolling with splattershot jr defensive bubbling and movement for now. Yes, I probably played about 25 games tonight and ended up against other team plane players 3-4 times. It wasn't as frequent as when I was on team marshmallow though.

Triple stat gear, you say? Also have a ninja squid shirt with three damage ups and a hat with three special charge ups. Working on getting the White Arrows to have a triple special up just to make bubbling with trislosher that much more hilarious.

If the JP splatfest really is a teaser for playable Octolings then they should have just rolled that out simultaneously in all regions to increase the hype. I'm really curious to see if they come up with an Octoling boy option... I guess he'll have a tentacle fauxhawk or something.

Yeah, I get 16 splats, splatted twice, most turf covered and my team gets a total of five, we still lose and if there's more than one good player on the other team, you don't have a chance in hell. However if you get a good person on your team don't quit, because the advantage they'll give you is amazing.
