 With KOTFE launching next week, I'm running a contestThe Prize: An unlock token for the Togruta species! A 600cc or ~$1.3 million (on the GTN currently) value! Note that this unlock is account-wide! The Rules: 1. Send an in-game mail to Xodiac with your SA name in it from the character you wish to enter into the contest. 2. Character must be a current member in good standing of TNG. By good standing, I mean you at least have the comment section on your character filled with your SA name* 3. Because there are a ton of really cool mounts and I'd rather use my jet pack than have to drive my Tirsa around all the time. I'd love two sweaters to be an option but on the list of features I want added that's waaaay low.

When you unlock all your companions you should have a mount that's just them carrying you around on a huge litter like xerxes in 300 Nonentity please do the needful

They wanted to design a vehicle system but just copied every other vehicle system in mmos line for line instead of thinking about their own game for two seconds and attaching a sidecar to the speeder.

Hulk that reminds me, I was thinking about organizing a contest to get the fifty people in a stronghold achievement. Get like 3 ops groups of people and give away a random hypercrate or something.  . Don't think I could get enough goons so I might have to brave the official forums.

Rigging Forex, Blizz, T7, Doctor Lokin, etc to every speeder somehow on top of the existing stuff would be a fuckload of work.

It's on their list of features to eventually add but, like Medullah said, it's way, way low on there.

I'm almost finished with Agent so iIt looks like I'll have time to at least get most of another class quest done before 12x goes away. Do any of the Jedi class stories portray the Dark Side as actually tempting and not just baby eating? Or at least make being a Dark Side Jedi as interesting as being a Light Side Sith? I like both Jedi stories well enough from what I've seen of them, but I've always wanted to try turning off the dark side/light side icons and try to see if I fall to the Dark Side without them.

Jedi Consular is probably the better of the two if you want to go Dark Side - DS options as a Consular are generally about being coldly logical and pragmatic. But both Jedi stories were written with you being LS in mind and have nothing like the story differences for light-side Sith.

Same with LS sith warrior. The main Jedi enemy for most of the 1/2 act is a huge prick who is pretty much breaking all the rules to get at you and you can make him go batshit angry just be being "Nah, we don't need to fight, it won't solve anything"

At release I played a dark side jedi knight, and while I think there were some obligatory mustache-evil options the main thrust was putting the good of the republic or big picture stuff ahead of other things. More in line with a feel from kotor backstory where Reven/Malak want to get out there and get poo poo done and save the republic. I remember telling someone I saved from death in a cave that I didn't have time to escort them out, with them doing a "but..you're a jedi!" while I'm running off to deal with another goddamn superweapon. Maybe I should replay one and see how my memory matches up, I'm sure that I didn't keep class story separate from the rest in my mind, maybe in a vacuum it is a lot worse.

The DS Jedi options are either as Cythereal said cold, logical, and practical (that just happen to kill people) or for the Knight they are more, this is good for the Republic but not morally good. Sadly there are plenty of puppy kicking ones that really conflict with the narrative, and the narrative doesn't change much to reflect your choices, you're just randomly an rear end in a top hat sometimes. The biggest thing was at the end of JK they named you a general and not a Jedi master but I guess that got papered over. The most interesting thing is the JK followup quest on Rishi, where you have to run a standard mmo quest because your masters ghost is a Eimi fucked around with this message at 21:40 on Oct 15, 2015 |
