I'll use this as an excuse to post my Jedi Sage. I freely admit that I blatantly stole this look, although not the colors, from another goon, because I loved it so much:

And because I actually got complimented on him, my Sniper:

I sadly cannot enter the contest, as I've already got the Togruta.

E: I want the idle lightsaber animation that the Sage has for every single-blade class, because it's the best :swoon:

Also, if you're the goon I stole that look from and you're posting in this thread, just remember that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

The Prize: An unlock token for the Togruta species! A 600cc or ~$1.3 million (on the GTN currently) value! Note that this unlock is account-wide!

The Rules:

1. Send an in-game mail to Xodiac with your SA name in it from the character you wish to enter into the contest.
2. Character must be a current member in good standing of TNG. By good standing, I mean you at least have the comment section on your character filled with your SA name*
3. Post a picture of a character (Imp or repub) in this thread showcasing your best outfit.
4. I'm going on the honor system here but please do not enter the contest if you already have this unlock. I'm not looking for people who will simply resell the token on the GTN. Sorry people who already have it :(
5. Only one entry per person.

I'll be choosing a winner at random on or near the 20th and mailing the token to them then.

Good luck!

*FYI if you don't have this, ask anyone with the rank of Major or above to fill it in the guild page next to your name. If you're a Major, you can do it yourself. Those that don't have this entry filled have a greater chance to be guild kicked by Medullah on one of his drunken rampages :eng101:

I'll enter you in a separate random draw for something cool(tm):siren:

Honestly one of the best features in FFXIV is that they designed a ton of different idle poses, both without a weapon and with one out and they let you swap. I'd love to see /cpose in SWTOR. Not just for weapons but also because the basic idle pose is boring too.

Jugg is like Concealment Op, it's got a very high ceiling. It's button-heavy with a complicated rotation that breaks easily. Their defenses are brainless though.

At release I played a dark side jedi knight, and while I think there were some obligatory mustache-evil options the main thrust was putting the good of the republic or big picture stuff ahead of other things. More in line with a feel from kotor backstory where Reven/Malak want to get out there and get poo poo done and save the republic. I remember telling someone I saved from death in a cave that I didn't have time to escort them out, with them doing a "but..you're a jedi!" while I'm running off to deal with another goddamn superweapon. Maybe I should replay one and see how my memory matches up, I'm sure that I didn't keep class story separate from the rest in my mind, maybe in a vacuum it is a lot worse.

I did Knight a few weeks ago sticking just with the main plot and it's pretty much 50/50 pragmatic/selfish. The bit you're thinking of is on Belsavis, where the villain is looking to set off a bunch of volcanoes to wipe out literally all life on the planet, and the DS option when you rescue the guy who tells you this is "I won't risk millions of lives just to lead you to safety". I played my knight with a selfless needs-of-the-many attitude, skipping DS "kick puppy" options and LS "lol I quit guess u can't kill me now Jedi hmm :smug:" options and ended up pretty much bang on neutral.

T7 was pissed at the end that I chose not to jeapordise the mission to kill the Emperor by running off to save a member of my team who would have gladly given his life to ensure the mission's success. I felt the game was missing an opportunity for my knight to say "Don't worry, Teeseven, companion characters can't die in LucasArts Adventure Games Star Wars: The Old Republic!"

I'm kind of surprised how few "gimmick" costumes there are aside from the stripperric outfits. I guess Bioware is trying keep the game universe in its semi-serious tone, but I'd absolutely pay $10 for the option to dress up like a hardcore french dandy, including the fake wig. I thought they'd at least add some Mass Effect/Dragon Age stuff because that seems to be a big thing for them

Only one entry per person :) Pick which one you want and send an email to Xodiac with your choice and I'll enter you into that one.

BTW, in case people didn't know, you wouldn't have to star a new character to enjoy Togruta (though you could). Just go to an appearance designer to change your species to it and you're good to go.
