If it works like medical marijuana dispensaries here in Vancouver you just have a quick skype convo with a doctor who decides you have anxiety or whatever and you walk out with your sweet legal drugs.

From what I recall they're talking about it only being prescribable for very specific and terminal illnesses.

It'll probably be schedule 8 like Ritalin and Oxy and require at least initial authorisation by a specialist before a GP can hand out scripts. But also, I'm not sure about Aus but lots of places have specific clauses that make it easier to give people with terminal illnesses drugs with abuse potential but not necessarily the general population. This is how some countries replaced tricyclic antidepressants with psychostimulants for certain patients with depression in pallative care.

katlington posted:Why is Dutton even still around? Wasn't he getting the flick with the rest of Abbotts crew? I think because there was a bit of a response in Australia to that toddler washing up on that beach in Europe Turnbull created a backup plan in case there is ever a shift in public opinion on immigration. Essentially, he can pun the atrocities on the previous cabinet and fire some rube he's put in charge of immigration (ie. Dutton). Morrison is too smart to be in Dutton's current position, though Dutton is probably operating from a bunch of notes written by Morrison as he gawks at them with a slack-jawed expression.

Anyone else think that FriendlyJordies is a closet change from within'er? His videos don't even touch on the ALP or the Greens. Hell I don't even think he's ever done a video on Bill Shorten.

peter dutton has concocted a strange explanation for himself. he says the woman declined the abortion so was flown back. the woman's lawyer says she requested a delay to receive counselling. dutton says this delay was not in good faith; the real reason was so that she could get an injunction against her return to nauru. counselling can be provided before she left nauru. of course her lawyers wanted to get her to Australia and within reach of the courts. so peter dutton is evil but he is not actual spud level stupid. his explanation contains a thin veneer of truth that makes the lie stronger. thats a straight up Goebbels thing to do.

I'm not sure where he stands because he mocks the LNP endlessly but lets the ALP off the hook continuously. His Mike Baird video specifically seems to imply he atleast leans on change from within logic.

All I can say about Turnbull is from when he was Comms minister. I was at a function and was as drunk as he was and put him on the phone to the state Tesltra Broadband Manager when I was battling why my new house in a new development (which should have broadband or NBN access) that ddint have any ports free. After handing my phone to Turnbull, I got internet access for everyone in my development in 5 days. It was worth it. Only time I can honestly say a member of parliament has actually done something to fix an issue I have. Still, now he is PM - gently caress him. And gently caress all replacements. Don't trust them, each is as bad as the predecessor.
