The soundtrack album for that movie is so good. It even has the full duet version of Fare Thee Well, which I don't think gets played in the movie.

How much longer until we can burn down the idea of making trailers for trailers?

It is going to increase, not decrease. Exclusive deals for release of big trailers is growing, not shrinking. Monday Night Football is going to have gigantic ratings because of this, you're saying when oh when are studios and TV channels going to stop advertising and making money? They're showing these five second commercials all day today. It's all over the place. Look on the bright side, you won the battle of not quoting twitter accounts for review pedigrees, so that's something.

To be honest I like the short teaser trailers more than I like the 4 minute ones that explain the whole plot and show how everyone makes out of whatever dilemma the movie presents.

The best part is that up to this point, Lucasfilm has been remarkably restrained in terms of teasing these things. Like, this was the only official indicator that we were getting that first teaser trailer back in November. Now that it's an aired event (the second one premiered onstage at the Celebration convention in April) I can imagine that they have to resort to similarly mainstream methods of advertisement, as unfortunate the mode of conveyance is.

Trailers for trailers don't really bother me even if they are stupid, but hey they make money. I just think it's really funny to imagine that Monday Night Football of all loving things in the universe needs a ratings boost.

Yeah, current biggest rumour is that the plot is basically Legend of Korra Book Three. Also, I bet the beginning of that trailer is the beginning of the film, with the sheet looking like the classic star field. Instead of panning down to a planet though she rips it aside because this isn't your father's Star Wars. PriorMarcus fucked around with this message at 07:26 on Oct 20, 2015 |

It would make sense considering he's wielding a light-saber on the poster. Or maybe it's just a bright blue fluorescent lamp.

This might be the wrong place for it, but I've never been quite able to wrap my head around how forums Mafia stuff works. I played a lot of Mafia on high school field trips and whatnot, and the dynamic always had a lot to do with reading body language and playing off existing social dynamics. What substitutes in for that when you've got text and strangers? Is it more of a rational actor type situation where folks judge identities based off voting patterns and incentives, or does it lead to the same goofy trainwrecks as the Mafia I grew up with?

Yes, it generally works on posting styles and looking for inconsistencies in logic from one day to the next when you can review things people have said earlier in the game. Some games are trainwrecks and some are more serious. We have a Discussion Thread and a more serious Mechanics Thread that you can check out. It's a pretty healthy group, but we're always looking for more people to play.
