In general she's ruthless but practical and likes it when you focus on the big picture above personal squabbles. You only lock in her romance after completing Chapter 9, and the game warns you first.

Remember now there is no such thing as negative influence, like there was affection. "Greatly disapproves" still affects influence, just not as much as "approves" might (though the numbers aren't out on that quite yet)

My agent did the light side choice in Chapter 3 and pissed her off royally and everything still worked out. I did make a few DS choices, namely a a big one with Valkorion and using his power to save her rear end - she got a little mad at me about that one too so she's not all about the DS. You should be fine as long as you don't deliberately piss her off, which seems to be rather difficult. The rest I don't know, I didn't do Vector's romance because ew.

That's good to hear-- I guess in retrospect Ziost kind of implied it'd work that way, since you still get the romance stuff at the end even if you let that spy live and she gets annoyed at you. She's more or less back to who she was in SoR, though more worldy for sure. It felt natural and there is no big negative so you don't have to be a suck up, and she approves of almost every good guy dialogue choice. I did Vector's because shrug, I never expected any other companion relationships after launch anyway. Does Theron Shan show up as a romanceable companion? He seems like a good choice. Comes from a great bloodline(might luck out and get a force sensitive kid, and since he's related to Revan they would probably be powerful(wooo Battle Meditation) , Highly connected in the Republic. Not a hive mind of millions and millions of bug people from around the galaxy.

I think I'm just going to pick one main for now and focus on maxing influence with all of her companions for now, because boy howdy is there a lot of companions and a lot of influence.

I ran 1-8 with only story mission markers enabled on, I wonder if there were any normal side missions anywhere. There is a non-story mission at the beginning of Mission 9 near the Underworld Logistic's area Gives you some Crystals and level 6 Companion gifts.

So as somebody with very little experience playing TOR, if I buy something like a Legacy Perk: Rocket Boost or speeder training or whatever, is it something that's automatically applied account-wide? I'm not quite sure I understand how exactly Legacy Perks work.

Of course I'm still working on finishing up this storyline and they love killin' off your favorite dudes, so my celebration may be premature. I don't remember her being on the list of old companions who could die, though.

Just did my first group finder Ops (locked at TFB). Definitely worthwhile now - there are nice drops, and you are assigned a drop as well - I got a 216 shield and got to roll on a 220 one.

Chapter 10 Looks like the next companion we're encountering is Kaliyo Post-Chapter 9, unrelated to the above I love the interactions with the Republic and Imperial Ship droids, you can even get opposite factions droid as a companion For most of the KOTFE unique companions, their gear is part of their geometry, you can tell by previewing the gear on them, however Theron's gear is not, if you preview it is replaced. They still can't wear anything else though. Found a bug, you can have 2 Treek's as stronghold hooks. Probably related to KOTFE, only one HK-51 though. One thing I'm enjoying about this expansion so far, and let me know if anybody's experienced differently, but it seems like now, all gathering missions are available at all times, rather than being randomly selected from a pool. Every time I've tried to send a companion out on a rich & bountiful Grade 8 underworld metal mission, they've both been available, every time. It's nice. I'm also loving that missions are automatically sorted now with the highest xp-yielding ones at the top, which makes it just that much easier to grind out your gathering skills.

Chapter 1 and 2 spoilers regarding a character: Can you save Marr? There was an achievement for getting 5K influence with him at one point. My warrior misses my badass imperial space bro.  Edit: Also, that moment towards towards the end of chapter 1. Jesus gently caress. Given how things were going I couldn't not pick the option to say "If we're going to die then let's take as many of them with us we can!". Motherfucker didn't even hesitate once I said that.

I've had a weird glitch with a companion who returned for a big role: I'm playing as a Jedi Knight, and my ol' pal T7 has shown up repeatedly in the KOTFE narrative, but his appearance has been weirdly inconsistent. In cutscenes he would have his default coloring, and outside of cutscenes he would be wearing his red customization. Eventually he showed up as a more permanent companion, at which point his red customization vanished from his inventory. Didn't go in my bags or show up in the mail, it's just gone. Not the hardest thing to replace, but it's weird. I wonder if this is happening with other classes when their own companions become shared companions? Tip: When you get to the planet Odessen be sure to go click the little sign by the crafting station, because you instantly get a cool unique moddable weapon and a pretty decent set of mods to go in it.

No customization for the story companions bites the big one and is an altogether strange decision when pretty princess Cartel purchases are most likely the main source of income for the game. So I don't know if it applies to the other solo mode flashpoints, but the Ilum ones are super-wonky. Once you get the story quest for them, it -automatically- adds a tactical flashpoint: Flashpoint name mission to your mission log as well. Keep the story quest, abandon the 'tactical flashpoint: Flashpoint name mission, and when you talk to the NPC at the entrance of the flashpoint it gives you the option to pick solo, tactical, or hard modes. This still satisfies the story quest requirements, and is also really obnoxious and kludgey as a bonus!

I sure am kicking myself for not buying a set of level 21 equipment for my little juggernaut before the vendors got removed. Now I have poor gear and am afraid to try tanking a flashpoint because I am awful. Whoops!
