Their anti-cheat DLL doesn't auto-detect stuff that opens the EQ client memory space for reading. Doesn't mean they aren't checking out all your porn tabs and processes though. ...annnnd im back. gotta catch up, gotta go fast! I'm looking for somebody, one of yous guys, that can PBAOE around level 40 or 45, with a sizable manapool. Why? IM GLAD YOU ASKED I teamed up with another bard. We have an agreement, i kite for his alt, he'll pl mine. The problem is my alt is not pbaoe, and is a monk. Things could go *much* faster if my monk grouped with your pbaoe dude. He kites, you kill, i stand there and look cool as heck, we both make tons of xp - no charge to you. This is on blue, and you can msg me on daaz or IZRD. Lookin to do this tonight 6pm est and probably periodically into the future.

Last night, we wrestled City of Mist away from a few twinked PKs and then gained a bunch of experience and money drops for a few hours. Then to wrap up the night, we killed a random necromancer from Pandemonium.  I think we'll be around COM for a few more days in the 52-55ish range, and then we'll probably move on to The Hole, Chardok, Velk's Lab or somewhere else. If you're considering joining us, I'd say we don't need melees at the moment. A druid or wizard would probably be best, though the other healers and casters would be welcome too.

I'm going to be leveling my cleric 51-60 on a "when i'm bored and my guild doesn't need my rogue" basis on red if anyone's in that level range and wants easy groups. I'll trade someone a velium bar (250p) for a few xfers so I can get gear on him. Send anime a tell if you're interested in either!

I can get on during most normal people hours pacific time and I'm taking another week or two off work, but I raid a lot of days around EST prime-time. Do you guys use teamspeak? I usually try to stay logged off p99 unless I have something to do, and checking teamspeak channels for signs of life's usually the best way to go about that.

Welp anime's suspended so i'll be on my cleric leveling for the next week, to the goons who kept catching me while i'm raiding. If anyone wouldn't mind logging on hardon and porting me that would be awesome because I've wasted 3 hours watching youtube videos and trying to get my corpse while the firiona vie shuttles glitch out (bonus points: you get access to my naked port druid)

I was going to try p99 out. But I am partial to Luclin models. And I liked PoP. I played from 2000 to 2005. So while I was researching p99 I came across the luclin graphic posts. And those threads really turned me off of the community. I almost gave up there. But in one of the threads I saw a project 2002 reference. So I did some searching and found p2002.com. They are currently on kunark with velious on the way. And they plan to release pop. Now they do allow boxing up to three. But that is not my bag. Still. I decided to try it out. Yeah I don't necessarily agree with everything 1999 does but I play there because everybody else is. There's an active community, and for an MMO like eq that's everything. There's tons of cool private servers (and loads of lovely ones) but if there's no people trading in tunnel in EC, who cares? May as well be playing single player at that point, which is not fun for EQ.

I recently got back into playing p99 and gave 2002 a look first. But they allow boxing and I'm not interested in any server that allows it. Just not the same experience when people are just duoing off by themselves.

I agree, and that's why it annoys the piss out of me when people constantly ask SO WHAT CLASS IS GOOD FOR SOLOING and WHERE SHOULD I GO TO SOLO. Completely defeats the point and fun in EQ. If I wanted to grind solo poo poo, there's a billion better MMOs for it.

Allowing boxing wrecked what was otherwise a tremendously huge achievement and one of the most fun and fascinating custom EQ servers (if it can even be called that) in Shards of Dalaya, so yeah no boxing ever is my policy.

And atleast they limit the boxing. So you dont see full one man teams. I (and the group I dragged with me) will not be boxing. The p99 would appeal to me with tje stop at velious if they let me have luclin models. But at the same time I would be very sad to never see the planes again.

P99 is just such a live, active server--which makes EQ more enjoyable--that any little stumbling block that gets in the way--and can be overcome--is worth overcoming. Personally, I find a lack of maps a problem so I use Zliz's map program. If I didn't have that I would not play. Again, personally, I prefer the original live models. To each his own.

Oh no, a couple of you guys made me decide that I want to kill some dragons, so I put in an app with BDA. Don't worry, I'll come crawling back once BDA rejects me for being too goony, Unknown Guild has been great though. It's always nice to have goons to chill out with in guild chat. Any goons leveling up on p1999 should join up with Unknown Guild and talk about farts. And you should play on p1999, cause both Live and other emu servers are lifeless husks full of boxers. I know, cause I've tried them too.
