"I have no idea how we got onto the EU topic, but I’d have to agree with Hazard. The movies are the most BORING part of the Star Wars timeline. Every that happened before and after is so much more interesting. Old Republic era being my personal favorite. All the stuff with Cade Skywalker in Legacy was amazing as well. Wait are the prequels really EU and therefore not part of Disney's new canon? I thought they said that the 6 movies were literally the only canon thing left except for the post-buyout cartoons like Rebels and Clone Wars?

I read the new lando and Princess Leia comics and they are p great. Poor lobot. Really gives them character and they're only ~120 pages each. Heard the vader comic has a waifu following him around though.

Like a kid-friendly We Were Soldiers or Black Hawk Down or whatever with blasters and plastic armor. Just a whole movie of stormtrooping and TIE strafing runs.

I mean I guess it could be like Das Boot or something where the Germans aren't really the good guys but they are human and that's what we care about, but OTOH Stormtroopers are literally the army run by the most evil man in the universe and so were Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, and Kriegsmarine.
