The pawsting business is tough work.
Redone as in new rules or redone as in new sculpts?

Rules reworks for sure, some re-sculpts likely. It'll be a while though, probably another year at the extreme earliest.

My intro to Adriana was actually the frenchies, and i was pretty disappointed. they got some nice point reductions in n3 but they're pretty rough to play as a straight sectorial.

On the other hand, love me some chasseurs. I always take two in vanilla lists.

Oh also, the Seraph: it looks decent, but I'm actually a little underwhelmed. It's just so... skinny. Like a lanky hunchback.

there is a rumour going around that I have found God. I think this is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist

N3 did very little to change the fact that Chasseurs are the bestest. I am super pumped for the Russians getting their sectorial and whatever new cool stuff they give us. Especially in light of how much I liked the American release.

i really like the big sword it looks well awesome when im cam...:smith:

Slightly related though, as much as I love my PanO over years of playing them I am seriously considering selling them and possibly all my Nomads and focusing on just Combined and Haqq. I do love the new Haqq stuff quite a bit.

Haqq were my second/third army. I own 300pts-400pts of QK and have them all painted up. :)

See but if you sell your jewel-like wondrous objects, you won't have enough miniatures for the Infinity RPG campaign.

Writing is fun!
So i played the infinity RPG and it was fairly fun. The quickstart is a bit funky with day 2 having murders occur, but almost no details on it. (Seriously day 2 is one page). The system was fun and I liked the Heat/Momentum system.

The players seemed pretty tough, especially if they had used infinity points to recharge their minor damage tracks. I had to use Heat to use the penetrate ability to even harm the father knight!

So far looking forward for the official release.

On a scale of D&D 3.5 to Apocalypse World, how crunchy is the 2D20 system? How long would a gang-sized firefight take in real world-player minutes?

I haven't played Apocalypse world sorry. Without the full rules released im only going after the quick start rules, I know in the full rules you can do ARO:Shoot Backup.

Crunchyness wise there are a lot of reactions you can do (Which give the DM heat) but my players didn't bother save for defence. During their active turn it was pretty much a move and shoot. A lot of the crunchyness is in the weapons themselves, figuring out what each trait does. Combat Crunchyness is like.. Combat in Dnd 3.5 with interrupts available to you.

A gang fight might take a bit long. Movement and combat is easy to do, though you have to pause after every announced attack to see what reactions everyone will do. I pitted the group up against two speculo killers , and then had the environment turn into zero G. The speculo killers were pretty durable but could only plink away at the heroes. To be honest most of the tension came from environmental hazard or races against the clock.

I am going to play the RPG with some friends next week, so I can report back then, but so far the rules seem basically workable. The main conceit is this resource arms-race between the players and the GM, accompanied with several subsystems.

Haqq are getting some seriously cool sculpts. As someone who has had zero interest in them initially I'm finding it harder and harder to resist bulk buying a force. Only thing holding me back is my bulk of other unpainted minis really... Definitely jettisoning past Corregidor and Aleph as my next faction I want to play.

Pierzak

Hasn't stopped me. A blister of Yum Yums and I'll have 300pts of QK. Plus random non-QK stuff lying around.

Hortism
Oct 25, 2010

I'm thinking Hassassin. I don't think I see them getting trotted out much around here, with Haqq already being one of the least popular factions (slowly increasing though). With how much joy I get out of my Speculo, running up to three Impersonators sounds crazy fun (and probably redundant).

Bah, who needs Govads when I have 4 LASIQS! and 3 FIDAYS! and a whole bunch of Ragiks and Mutts.

I'm probably overrating a lot of those units, but I love viral, and impersonation, and dogged on in your face rear end in a top hat troops that end up taking far more point then they're worth.

I have a handful of Druze and Kaplans for use as a QK army (since I play Corregidor already) and if I ever expand on that, Azra'il are the first item on the list. I personally really like all the newest generation HI/power armour sculpts, with the minor quibble that the female models are practically gender-dimorphic to the male.

What is that? A Janissary that decided it wanted even more armor?

My starter pack Jan did amazing in my last game, took 1 wound in the first round, then survived 12 DA rolls through the rest of the game. Dude is a beast.
