Spoke to a guy from Boeing flight test the other day who had been Shanghai'ed into doing some training. His opinion of the a350: it's a legacy airplane. By the time Airbus catches up to where Boeing is at now, they'll have their suborbital transport operating. I don't care if it's partisan braggadocio, I hope he's right!

Just got a random tour of Solar Impulse, nbd or anything. "Hey you wanna get a tour of some random around the world solar plane? It's over in that hangar." "Wait, do you mean Solar Impulse?! It's HERE?!" "Yeah I think that's it's name. The person taking care of it wants to give us a tour." I proceeded to make fanboy noises.   It's covered in foil to keep pests and dirt off of it.
