BETTER IDEA THANKS TO TRIPLE D Really, the whole first two pages with Hill ranting about Beast loving things up is great, especially her complaining about preventing the X-Men from blowing up the moon because of a dream she had. I love how even to this day people are surprised that the guy who tested a mutating serum on himself makes Bad Science Decisions.

Most adaptations have Beast turn into a blue freak by trying to cure himself of his mutation, because that's a lot more relatable than just drinking some weird poo poo for kicks.

My only exposure to the character was some sort of meta commentary on it in one of the standard literary comic runs from the 80's-90's. Was there a Prez story in Sandman?

Yeah give Sandman a reread Zoux. Parts don't always hold up but it's still a remarkably rich series worth some delving and a phenomenal snapshot into the time when it was written.
