I upgraded to Win 10 and now when I load the launcher I get a pop up asking if I want to allow this app to make changes. I set it to run as administrator and made sure it was in the firewall exception list, but I still get the pop up. This doesn't happen when I load the Guild Wars 2 launcher tho, so I don't know why it does it or what else I can do to make it stop. Anyone else have this issue or know what I can do about it?

They did a really poo poo job with the launcher unfortunately, so you're stuck with UAC prompts.

I think those codes expire on a timer, sadly, and not based on # of clicks. I only shared my code among my very small group of friends (not trying to be selfish but there were dozens of them posted here) so it's highly unlikely that they all got clicked 50 times. The only one still active in my list is NYCC as well. We might as well milk this thing for all it's worth before it goes dead, so anybody that needs the NYCC code, here's another one: http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/5lq49 That last speeder is the all-black version, I think, which is about as good-looking as those things get. I also got two black/black dyes from those as opposed to none from all the other codes combined, so maybe it has a better drop rate? Could be a total coincidence. What dye colours go for the most? Made about 500k in the last two days just by turning collected crystals into medium grey while levelling.

After every transition with a companion in tow, he gets selected after the loading screen. So then I have to press escape. Does anyone else experience it? I did report it, nevertheless.

(your companions are now the Rangers, and they don't need to combine into a huge robot to murder everything in sight  )

To be fair, you can get by really well by not subscribing until you hit level 50. I recommend at least making some headway into your class quest to see if you actually like the game or not. The biggest thing that's going to annoy you is that you can't sprint and you have a limited number of quickbars. If you subscribe and play casually for two weeks to hit level 50, one could argue that you didn't really make use of your subscription at all.

I'm not on a different server, but dark red / black is my hottest seller (requires Yavin rep) followed by black / light gray, which I think is trainable from a regular trainer at 500 skill, if I remember right. They use grade 7 and grade 8 materials, respectively, so you'll want to pile up as many of those as you possibly can. Both of those sell pretty regularly, but I can get at least twice as much money for the dark red / black. That's probably because not every artificer has Yavin rep maxed out, so there's less competition.

How different is the new stuff? I downloaded this yesterday and am doing the "origin story" stuff and it's all kinda clunky feeling to me. Is it true I can subscribe for 1 month to get access to the new expansion, cancel my sub and still finish out the story quests? I'm mainly just looking for something to fill some downtime so I don't burn myself out on FFXIV again.

Help me gentle goons, you're my only hope. I have a serious case of don't know whathefucktoplay-itis. I keep trying different classes but its tough to tell what they will play like when they have all their abilities. I'm on the path to burning myself out because I keep trying everything. - I am a casual player who will likely never see the inside of a hard mode raid but enjoy grouping although my play schedule makes things difficult - For some reason I like the PvP in this came but would most likely queue solo for unranked matches for giggles. When I do warzones I try to actually do objectives (defend a node, etc). - Not a fan of glass cannons since I find myself getting slow in my dotage - I like to press buttons a lot - don't have to have a light saber Please help me.

I would say Sniper/Gunslinger - the rotation is dead simple, while still pressing something every GCD, and they basically just poo poo damage all over everything.

I second this, both are great fun and superb damage plus I liked the agent story. An assault bounty hunter works too (it's my main) but I actually prefer to play my sniper or gunslinger these days.
