I don't think that's true, since the entire crux of the argument is that so much money goes into wealthy suburban communities (who have high home values and higher taxes) and less in to urban poorer ones. If nothing else, I can speak from personal experience that the home I lived in when I lived in the city had much lower property tax rates then the one I currently own in the suburbs.

Its a fallacy.

When it comes to property taxes, New York City homeowners live in an upside-down “Alice In Wonderland” world — a system that often favors the rich and punishes lower- and middle-income property owners, a Daily News investigation has found.

Because of the bizarre way the city taxes residential property, owners in upscale gentrified New York neighborhoods like Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights and the upper East Side often wind up paying less than owners in hardscrabble zip codes like East New York and Canarsie in Brooklyn, South Jamaica in Queens and Mott Haven in the Bronx.

Kahrl’s case study, which was released this month by the Journal of Urban History, traces the practice of tax-lien speculation to a 1951 reform in Illinois state law called the Revenue Act. During the same years when “redlining” emerged as a severely racially discriminatory mortgage practice, assessors in cities such as Chicago systemically over-valued homes in black neighborhoods for property-tax purposes…

He released the results of a survey of more than 11,000 Pittsburgh home sales between 2006 and 2010 that indicated properties in many of the city's poorer neighborhoods, like Esplen, are assessed for more than their fair market value.

At the same time homes in wealthier areas, like Squirrel Hill, are assessed well below their fair market value, based on sales data over the past five years.

http://www.post-gazette.com/local/city/2011/01/08/Poor-neighborhoods-pay-higher-property-taxes-city-councilman-says/stories/201101080195

Its not too hard to find articles talking about the disparity. To boil it down, higher income locales have the wherewithal to vote down property tax hikes. Poorer ones do not.

Some segments of our economy would virtually collapse without these undocumented workers—we all know that—yet we continue to harass and deport many individuals who are simply seeking a better life for themselves and their families. Is there a way to apply logic to this issue and arrive at an intelligent solution?" (Ben Carson Has Presidential Ambitions, But Is Soft On Illegal Aliens; Jerry McConnell; Canada Free Press; 2/4/14)."

This is what the guy is running on "apply logic and don't be an rear end in a top hat, I'm a doctor with faith, Carson 2016"

HES.. IGNORANT.. ON.. POLICY.... HES STUPID.. HES EVIL.. HES.. RACIST?.... is blasting around everyone's brains, I am just shocked how gullible people are. Is it even possible to un-indoctrinate liberals? This thread is a case study. People can't even watch a clip of Carson talking about black people without cognitive dissonance causing confusion, and assume Bernie Sanders is the real "Black Man's Candidate"

I know if I posted this in a Right Wing forum everyone would agree with me, but I'm trying to understand the partisan divide we have going on. A 10 minute clip of Carson getting huge cheers from black democrats should get a better reaction than "ur crazy" lol, no one can even talk about it

Okay, smoothrich, here's a serious reply since you appear not to be a troll. No one is replying to you seriously or engaging with you because you are in the wrong thread. This thread is for making fun of the Republican primary. You want d&d.

This is a rookie move that I see surprisingly often. People will just buy a button-down shirt, rip it out of the package and put it on. Maybe they'll think to iron it first, but in any case, they don't bother to wash it first.

In any event, they end up wearing a shirt that is hella creased down/across the front and back like this and it looks like you just ripped it out of the package and put it on like a gigantic retard who doesn't know how to dress himself.

Wash your new shirts before wearing them for the first time!

I don't know what it is, I don't suffer from social anxiety or shyness or anything but when I speak up in a meeting full of a lot of strangers I get the shakes and my mouth alternatives between extremely dry and full of saliva and I'm just a mess in general.

And I have no problem asserting myself at the time so I wouldn't really describe it as a anxiety, my mind has no problem with it but my body says what the hell are you doing.
