I thought the in-game explanation for specimens is that they're all just weird mutations of the base clot, hosed around with in different ways?

So I haven't been using Firebug's trench gun much since I got the "burning poo poo explodes, sometimes" perk. I tried the combo last night though and hoooooooly gently caress it's hilarious. This is Borderlands-level gun stuff, what with a shotgun that fires flaming exploding bullets.

Speaking of the firebug, how does the damage over time on fire work? Is it a simple "burning for x seconds" with the timer refreshed each time a zed is hit with a flame weapon, or does it stack up depending on how much you shoot the zed with fire?

Jesus Zerk is a complete monster when you get Smash. I've been able to bitch-slap Scrakes, FPs, and Hans to the ground with ease, making them super-easy to deal with.  At least I have a new class to play as when Hans comes.

I don't have anything printed since this was a question asked during the Q&A part of their panel. Someone in the audience asked the team of they were planning any holiday packs for the upcoming holiday season. They expressed how much fun they had on the killing floor 1 holiday packs and that it is something they would very much like to do again, but after they finish killing floor 2 and it's out of early access. They made sure to emphasize that it wasn't going to happen this winter. I was at the panel if that adds any validity.
