dawwww...dose are da fwiendwiest wolves! Once time I came home pretty smashed drunk and wrastled with my roommate's rottweiler. Such a huge sweet dog but did demonstrate to me that I would have been totally hosed if I smelled of bad intentions instead of booze.

I just stumbled upon this video from a local festival at my hometown, and there's something notably trippy about the confluence of really bad camera stabilization, calliope music, and people in Victorian era garb mingling with an otherwise mundane crowd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItXrCaAiA1A

You guys know how shows like Arrow, Gotham, and DC's movies are generally dour and afraid to really commit to the outlandish and glorious stupidity for 8 year-olds that are the comic books? Well the Flash isn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx2P9wawtfI Linked for incredibly minor spoilers about a character's appearance. doodlebugs posted:Is this real or fake? Harminoff posted:I can't wait for the future. It is going to be amazing. If that were the case I don't think they'd be able to film it, seems more like a transparent screen + tracking cameras or something to me. Displays working the way you describe are a thing though and are hella cool and eventually hopefully we'll get it to the point where you can just put a little projector on a table and it autotracks everyone's eyes and beams holograms into them.

Yeah no idea how they would record it either however that's just what I've read about it so far. "Magic Leap claims to have solved the resolution challenge with a proprietary technology that projects an image, which it describes as a “3-D light sculpture,” onto the viewer’s retina." http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/15/science/taking-real-life-sickness-out-of-virtual-reality.html?_r=2 Who knows though, the company is pretty secretive. I just have faith considering they got half a billion dollars from google and about to get another billion.

Harminoff posted:technology that projects an image...onto the viewer’s retina." So does my monitor, roughly speaking. It's an ambiguous enough statement to be as good as useless, and I'm sure that was intentional.
