Poor nancy. That has to be the absolute worst, seeing you right at the very moment it ends. And with the way she turned red right as you won, it made me think that maybe it was only the split second network communication times separating her from failure or a fun gunfight to keep her honour. The anguish must have been palpable in that house.

I wonder if other invaders feel like that when they invade Chip? Also, truth be told, I was kinda leaning forward and tightening my jaw through that whole thing. The backdoor timer moves so slowly

There are about 100 or so remaining Castles/Castle ruins in Wales but I'm not sure $10,000,000 a year would be enough to actually buy, own and maintain one of them. Certainly not any of the impressive ones.

The end of the human trafficking chain, like the end of all the sidequest chains, is a repurposed version of an open world activity. The jokes about it not being thrilling or fulfilling are dead-on accurate. It's a convoy mission with some high-level cops who get a head start on you and you can't kill the target. You had to find ten briefcases to figure out who was in charge of the auction, despite knowing who was in charge of the auction the entire time at various points in the chain of command. Of all the "finale" missions, it was probably the single nastiest in the game due to it being stacked against you in so many ways. "Aiden gets them all together and murders them" would actually have more closure than what occurs. Also that ctOS hub is a lot easier if you come in from the other side, there are cameras and most people stand on piers alone if not alerted. claw game handjob fucked around with this message at 10:41 on Oct 30, 2015 |

CryingAthena posted:"On medication for schizophrenia" as a "random fact" for an enemy? Really? Still wishing that the enemies had random 'nice' info; make it a bit more unsettling. Though I feel slightly confused by the bit with the relative of the 'oligarch'. I dunno if its supposed to be that who they're speaking to is ignorant, or just being colloquial, but... Oligarchs in Russia, at least presently, aren't really 'nobility' or in any way 'royal'. They're dudes who got exceedingly wealthy during the downturn of the USSR. Admittedly the castle in Wales thing is probably accurate though. Surprising number of Russian oligarchs have a love of British culture (particularly our football).

I didn't see anyone mention it but look how happy that guy was after... putting his dick in a vacuum chamber? CryingAthena posted:"On medication for schizophrenia" as a "random fact" for an enemy? Really? All criminals need to be hosed up and have negative personality traits. Sometimes it's that they're on parole or that they have a criminal record or that they have a mental disability. These are all equally negative traits in Watch_Dogs. Astro Nut posted:Though I feel slightly confused by the bit with the relative of the 'oligarch'. Do you think all the cool ctOS agents ask to be put on that island? Think about it: You and two dozen of your bros get to chill on a private island and get paid nearly six figures so long as you don't let a wet banana man hack a box.

It's neat in how it's presented. The player on their screen never not the 'character' Aiden, the other players on their screen they're tailing/invading/defending from/racing/playing that CTFish mode are always referred to as Fixers and are random NPC models. It never breaks tone with the player being the her... uhh, main player character.

Having everyone look like The Vigilante or have a Vigilante figure would be too much of a dead giveaway. Granted, trying to run the guy you're invading down isn't what I call stealthy either.

It's a fun GTA clone with cyberpunk pretensions, the slave auction was way less unpleasant than I thought it'd be, and it has fun shenanigans like car-launching and rampant hypocrisy. Essentially, it is a hamburger of a game. Not amazing, but sometimes it just hits the spot in a generic way. If you don't take it seriously at all, like the way MST3K does as a movie, it is hilariously bad in its story hypocrisy. But after seeing an invasion from the other side first time, that actually looked like exactly my kind of fun to do with people, so I'll give props on that for this game.
