Yeah a cab driver would totally have just let it happen. Yay for cab drivers, letting themselves get assaulted by drunk dudebros. Uber is, at its core, a ride-sharing service. This driver had mace in his car for this, so I think he's pretty equipped to deal with that dickhead who assaulted him.

Probably going to be a good time to buy a Volkswagen coming up, if not already. It already is. VW is running a ton of incentives right now, unless you know, you want to buy an R, then it's MSRP. At least I got rid of my TDI 2 weeks before dieselgate.

It's a little beyond schadenfreude now. The first scandal was not handled particularly great, since having a built-in game shark for beating the EPA level is hard to pass off as an accident. Obviously bad. But the possibility that it might just be all of their late model turbo diesels (extending into Audi and Porche) is far worse not because it's more cars, but because they apparently thought NOBODY WOULD NOTICE AGAIN. VW absolutely should have said "we know this poo poo is in a lot of our cars" because they pretty clearly did. As an American I grew up knowing that diesel was for rundown rusty yellow 80s Mercedes and big rigs, so I instinctively stayed away.
