British shorthairs are great and even better as kittens. Those biscuits/cookies are also pretty good and you can get them in the international isle at Kroger, which is one of the reasons I haven't fled back to my homeland yet.

This reminds me of a story that my friend told of going to a cattle ranch. After the dogs herded in the cows in the afternoon, they would cool off by jumping into the water troughs and splashing around while the cows got a drink. It's really really cute that dogs love their herd.

Jymmybob posted:We just settled on Lily and she's pretty much perfect. She's already more trained than most of our friends dogs by this point and she's getting better every day. The breeder was a backyard-type but her parents were great dogs and she has tons of terrific symmetrical markings, even the side spots match. Here's a couple more pictures in one of her 3 activities: sleep, chewing, and running.

1stGear posted:why are they called digestives Probably because they were supposed to be easy to digest by little kids or some such marketing claptrap. The chocolate topped ones are very good, even though the chocolate starts to melt as soon as you even look at one. These are what you really want though. I could eat these to the point of nausea if I had enough of them.

So my uncle and little cousin got a new cat some time ago, she's a purebred Burmese and the idea was that they had to keep her indoors to breed her to the right male (it was in the adoption contract and I'm not massively fond of the idea but there you go). I was there in September and she was the tiniest thing so I hadn't even the foggiest that she had escaped and apparently met an amorous Tom or two (I think three). I returned last week so these kittens are now about six or seven weeks old and they are fantastic as most kittens are. There were three pairs, two blacks two greys and two yellowish tabbies though one of the latter had to be put down due to a tumour on his eye. I've been really lucky to spend some time with them in the past week or so but since this is november in sweden the light has always been poo poo and my phone camera is awful in low light so not been able to take good pics or videos. Until today! Still not the greatest but over the last few days they've really started exploring and climbing all over you which makes me real glad to be wearing jeans. Anyway, slightly crappy low light video but best I could do! I'm just a little sad I couldn't get good footage of the slightly dopey grey who is my favourite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDsKYjBAdj0

My kids really really want a dog, and so do I, but we can't get one at the moment due to living situation. Requesting adorable dog pics, especially tiny dogs, huge dogs, derpy dogs, startling crossbreeds, and generally just weird-looking but cute dogs. As tribute I volunteer the custom Magic card my kids made for my boyfriend's dog, who is a very shaggy, very sweet elderly St. Bernard. When you scratch his ears, he makes a noise like a Wookiee crossed with a creaky door, and when you try to move more than two-three steps, he inserts himself between you and your destination and leans heavily on you until you pet him sufficiently. He weighs about 140 lbs, so his heavy lean is impressive.

Speaking of livestock and dogs. My sheep think my dog is super awesome whenever he wears any sort of clothes. I got him a super sparkly shirt on a whim and he was a little uncomfortable with all the attention. When you're this handsome you have to expect admirers though. It's a hard life.

We had some company over and they couldn't stop fawning over him. He's seriously the most friendly cat I've ever come across. We all sat on the couch to watch some videos and within moments he was up on the couch, doing the rounds, getting rubbins' from everyone.
