I've never heard of a pie-buns before though, we would be more likely to buy a pie and chips with heaps of sauce, or a pie and a sausage roll if we wanted extra fat or carbs if hung over. It was a late-night feast when we were drunk in my home town. You had to walk down 'pie alley' which was a dimly lit alley which was shady as gently caress and get to the loading gate for the early morning deliveries. I miss the shenanigans that happened there. I used to be a host on couchsurfing.com and it was a real trust test for my guests if they followed my shady rear end down that alley for 'food'.

I know pies often have mystery meat, but that read like you were solving the mystery E: Spurred on by this thread I made carbonara. Now I wasn't planning on it, so I didn't buy a sauce packet or a jar of sauce or anything especially labelled carbonara, but I had cream, so that's close enough. 1 zuchinni, 1 huge mushroom, 1 onion, 3 garlic cloves, half a jar of passata, half a jar of cream, about 7 olives diced. With a squirt of balsamic and served with bucatini, parsley and parmesan. It was delicious. Fo3 has a new favorite as of 13:33 on Nov 14, 2015 |

I had some bacon cheeseburger crackers the other day and they tasted like grease. Two instantly curdled my stomach and I spent the rest of the day in pain. Ended up giving them to the neighbor kids, or I'd post a picture.

cash crab posted:Speaking of novelty chips, did anyone ever try the scalloped potato Lay's? I feel like those would have been okay. I have not, but I did just try a different novelty chip that came up in the last thread that I don't think anyone ever got around to actually trying. I just stopped into the office to pick something up, and a coworker was there with something for me he wanted me to try. sorry for the terrible camera phone shots in bad lighting, just consider it part of the authentic afp experience Last time it came up in the thread, people were like "it's weird, but it isn't terrible" and I can mostly agree with that. It's bottom quality chocolate on bottom quality chips but I'm not exactly a connoisseur of either so I'm not exactly one to criticize. Those chips on the bag look okay though, ripples and all. What does the actual product look like? Yeesh. Ugly up top, but I'd imagine it's an even coating all roun- Welp, so much for that. But really, for a little snack food, aesthetics don't exactly get top billing so I'll give it a pass, since it's all about taste. Still, it kinda looks like a thin coating on the chip, enough that you can get a good taste of the chip and the chocolate without too much overpowering, right? Nope. I had a photo of a chip with a bite taken out of it but my lovely camera and bad office lighting just made it look like a blurry mess, moreso than the other photos were. But the chocolate is easily three times as thick as the chip, and all you get a taste of is some slight saltiness and crunch, but it's just all chocolate all the time, and weird gimmick mix aside, there isn't too much to say about it. It's about what you would expect for the lowest possible grade of ingredients going in, nothing offensive about it except maybe the price, but not good enough to eat more than one. The guy who gave me one said he liked them more than I did, but apparently there's a bunch of broken hunks in the bag that were just chocolate without any chip. I developed a weird taste for chips in chocolate a while back. It's like a salty Crunch bar when done correctly, but I guess I don't trust Lay's to make a decent one. Also, I like the low-quality pics.
