I should also note that if you're advertising your city as being "low taxes" rather than anything else it means you're indirectly admiting that your city is a shithole and the only reason companies would want to be here is taxes rather than because it has a good labour pool or good connections or even good living conditions for people.

Lol if you think that anyone was paying a 90% tax, even a marginal rate. There were poo poo loads of deductions and loopholes, the top 20% were paying like 30%. Tax reform in the 80s closed the loopholes and dropped the rate.
