Omi no Kami posted:Are there any early guns besides the pipe rifle that can fire a .38? It's my go-to ammo because there's so much of it laying around, but I hate the pipe rifles so much. I saw you could eventually mod the hunting rifle's receiver, but I'm nowhere near gun nut 3 yet. Those are the two I believe. You can mod the pipe gun into near-unrecognisability though.

gently caress you controls, I thought I was backing out of an interface, turns out I actually deleted a store I just made with the rest of my money. Though I guess that was useless anyway since four stores in six hours made 80 caps. How do I actually make money with these? I have a trader who showed up in Sanctuary, not a lot of empty settlers there, but no one's ever shown their face in the drive-in. Only level 1 for all four too. e: It sucks I can't put armor on top of Kellog's outfit, it looks cool but the stats are anemic without the other gear. Definitely worth doing because the suit gets upgraded. I think the stats are determined based on the level you are that the time you complete the quest, but I ended up with a 57 DR/ER armor that weighed 7lbs and looked baller as gently caress. Used that armor for a long time until I leveled Armorer and only just recently replaced it.

So, I'm going to do a little mod spotlight, because it's getting ridiculous. So far we have! A mod to change the amount of legendary enemies spawning! http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/218/ A mod to change survival mode to however you like including making it like Metro Ranger mode, where everyone dies after a few shots! (There are actually 4 of these on the nexus, some using an insane more effort then others.) http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/222/ Where your tack on armor with any clothes, clipping? Who gives a poo poo! http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/745/ 37 New Radio Songs! http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/637/ Unlimited Settlement Objects! http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/132/? A mod that forces power armor to always fast exit! http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/586/ A lovely ammo mod that turns steel wood and acid into 100 bullets! http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/798/ A mod that lets you have an extra follower, will include Dogmeat soon! http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/696/ Oh, yeah and you'll probably want a mod manager... http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/641/ Turtlicious fucked around with this message at 04:36 on Nov 16, 2015 |

Internet Kraken posted:All these repeating quests bother my inner because I always try to keep my quest log small but these stick around forever. At least with the BoS guys I got their quests to go away by not talking to them again, but Preston always has me do another quest right after I turn one in. Gimme a break dude! I was talking to the 'swatter' salesman in Diamond City and he had me collect some baseball relics for him, after it was over I told him I was looking for work so he sent me to get the same relics all over again. Quest popped back into my Pip-Boy, the items were back where I originally found them, got the same rewards and XP for delivering them. But that one was probably more like a bug than a repeating quest... Also I have done a bit of wandering while too low level and ran into some tough poo poo along the way. I was working my way directly east from Sanctuary and made it all the way to a cannery, where the owner trapped me in his basement full of ghouls. I was like level 8 so it took about a dozen tries to get past everything because I basically had no weapons except melee stuff and one shotgun with few shells. That was fun/[spoiler] And then today I was heading south and a little past the [spoiler]Edge of the Glowing Sea (which btw was super atmospheric and awesome) I found some national park type place that was also a sort of museum for Protectrons. So I'm scavenging and killing off the ghouls that are in the place and suddenly an Alpha Deathclaw rounds the corner from behind a cabin. I ran into a cabin to take some potshots, then ran to another one, etc. and found myself in a cabin with 4 Protectron pods, an electric-weapon one, a firefighting one, construction one, and regular - activated them all with the computer and watched as they wobbled their way outside to fight the Deathclaw, and it was awesome.

I'm still trying to figure out how resources are shared. I have about 10 settlements. The tooltip says that food and water are shared, and that seems to make sense since one of my places produces 50 water for 14 people but the workshop only had like 7 water in it for that location. Because of that I have to assume that a percentage gets through to each settlement. Maybe the caps are being distributed too? I haven't noticed any caps in workshops where there are no shops, but I only have 3 stands between the 10 settlements.

That explains why the drive-in is actually thriving with basically nothing then. Not sure about the caps then though, there's a supply line between Sanctuary and Drive-In (and Hangman's Alley but I've done nothing there yet). Also unrelatedly I have 12 100% fusion cores and six more in various states of use. You can use your power armor non-stop if you really wanted to.

Elendil004 posted:What's the best source of aluminum? aluminum cans are the most common. I'm pretty sure that some of the things like old oil cans or fuel cans or extinguishers have some aluminum too, but you should be grabbing those regardless. The stringers of aluminum cans that you find as alarms in ghoul-infested buildings are worth like 9 cans a pop.
