Somewhat predictably, the VO2 max test didn't really tell us that much. Yeah, he's got a high VO2 max now, but that could be high because he's doping. He supposedly had this high VO2 max back in 2007 but has that been verified to a WADA acceptable level? I really enjoy the fact he's a chubby skeleton though. The fact he had so much weight to lose does go some way towards explaining his breakthrough at least, but it doesn't prove he's clean.

There are actually a few people with a higher VO2 Max. Two cyclists and two cross country skiers and they're all Norwegian. Oskar Svendsen with his VO2 Max of 97.5 at age 18...

If he was clean the power data and his weight for his climbs would be published a while. Since he's rivaling or beating known doped performances including loving Lance's times, that data will only incriminate him further. Instead some well manipulated and control lab test data is fed to the media. Regardless it doesn't explain why Sky during the TDF were pushing bullshit w/kg numbers as the truth to the press when slower ascenders had published their power profiles coming in with higher w/kg than those being attributed to Froome. People are welcome to believe another magical weight loss story if they want to.
