And she's the real hero of the show for getting this and killing herself in an extremely painful way to free Jessica to do what needs to be done.

I also came up with one

- Drink what Jessica drinks, when Jessica drinks it.

and that was before we saw her drink a whole bottle of red in under a minute.

Episode 13 I think people also forget that even at the end, they still don't know exactly how it works. Remember Jessica told Patsy to not look at him and look at the floor when she had the headphones.

That's because Kevin made his dad do further experiments on him, increasing the power of his ability. So they don't know the extent of it's range, duration, or limits anymore. Especially since it's demonstrated that he can now control people through simple intercom/phone/TV at the hospital. They only thing they still know is that it's viral and Jessica is probably still immune.

Yea because 1x13 for all we know, Kilgrave is shooting out microbes that float around that carry his command and when they come into contact with a person they compel them to obey. We don't know if earplugs would work. The hermetically sealed chamber was the only way

also in re to SHIELD saying that mind control doesn't exist, remember this is an organization which was probably 60% HYDRA at least, so hiding the existence of poo poo that HYDRA could use would not be out of the question.

I'm on the 12th episode but does Krysten Ritter seem very flat with a lot of her dialogue? I don't want to say bad acting because I remember seeing her in Breaking Bad and she was great. All her acting just seems very flat and emotionless in this show.

Still enjoying it regardless though.

That's a criticism that I feel gets leveled at actors a lot when they're trying to portray someone with PTSD. Not saying it's not a legitimate complaint, just that it can be tricky to portray something like that.

PAM PAM PARAAAAM!

Watched the whole season spread out since Friday.

Great show, I might like it more than Daredevil!... But, I'd have to rewatch Daredevil to say for sure.
It was incredibly hard to binge, I had to take breaks between every almost every episode. :ohdear:

I actually never fully bought Krysten Ritter as Jessica but I suppose she'll eventually grow on me with more time, I don't know... something about her never clicked with me.

Everyone else was pretty much on point though, great performances all around with a notable mention towards Mike Colter who is a natural fit for Luke Cage and of course David Tennant acted circles around everyone.

Great finale too, better than Daredevil's.

I like it more than Daredevil. At the same time I can't remember the final two episodes of Daredevil, so I'm going to have to rewatch. I would say in both, though, that the villains outshined the protagonists.

Tap "A" to drink!!!

By the time Luke was introduced in the show all I wanted was the Luke Cage show. As I finished Jessica Jones that thought still remained. The show is very good but I thought the weakest part of the show was Jessica herself. She was made stronger by having such a good supporting cast and villain to work off of.

I thought Ritter was very good as Jessica and was only flat when it was called for. And also while doing the Noir narration because for some reason Noir narration is alway flat.

But then I thought Luke Cage was ok but wasn't constantly wowed by him like everyone else apparently was so maybe I just don't know what good acting is.

Robyn was fine, but there was just too much of her drama beyond what was needed to make it's point. I really liked her scenes with Jessica, where she Jessicas right back at Jessica.

I thought it was interesting there wasn't any sexualization of women (Jessica is basically fulled clothed the entire time, except for sex scenes), but Luke Cage was shirtless about half the time he was onscreen.

I think she'd have worked better if the last time we saw her was her screaming and crying in the hallway after her brother goes missing.

Oh, I thought Robyn was the lesbian doctor. In that case, no Robyn was way over used and wasn't likable at all.

I loved the shot Kilgrave just staring at his phone waiting for a picture of Jessica to show up. It really sold how twisted his relationship/feelings about Jessica are. Really the whole entire one-sided phone conversation was absolutely chilling and done fantastically.

I liked this show a lot, but I recognize some flat acting (or characterization - it may not be the actors' fault), instances of bad dialog, and plodding plotting, in part because it was a superhero show with a much less emphasized male power fantasy aspect.

That said, the fight scenes in Wonder Woman better be fuckin' on point.
