They are retelling two entire movies. This is Dragon Ball. Did you really think they'd move through them that quickly? They've done BoG and the start of RoF, plus several episodes that weren't from either of those in the same time as a single DBZ fight. All things considered, they are making pretty decent time.

Yeah but then what? What is Super gonna do when they run past those arcs, stop the show? Toriyama's gonna either need to step up production or Toei needs to take time off, which is probably only gonna pissed off the people who have been putting up with DBS 'filler' just to get to what everyone actually wants. It'll be like the Toonami '96 reruns all over again

Still not sure how anyone thought retelling not one but two movies that have come out in the past two years was ever considered a good way to start a series. Also maybe my Dragon ball nostalgia has finally bottomed out but I'm not really feeling DBM's recent chapter at all. The most recent TFS was not good upon a rematch either.

Even Super's been moving at the very least at a non-glacial pace compared to the original series. I mean hell, even in Kai just the battle against Freeza lasted a grand total of like 20 episodes. The original version lasted over 30 episodes. We're what, 15 episodes in with Super and they're already at the next arc? However small some may think it to be, it's a clear improvement. Yeah some episodes lasted longer than they needed to be but it's quite clear that the situation is not the worst it's gone through. Adding to that we now have Jaco in the show.

I just got some of these little inch-high DBZ figures from a friend of my sister's! They're tiny and cool and all the way back from 1989. I don't know what kind of sets they came in, either, or if they just were packaged individually in little coin machine balls or whatever because I've got characters from all across the spectrum from Spopovich and Janemba, and this incorrectly colored Android 19 whose face and hands are actually pink instead of clown white. It's weird. Probably the crown jewel in the set is the Gokule fusion character who only has, what, five seconds of screen time? They made a tiny little figure of him and now I have one somehow.

I mean, RoF had some wonky pacing so maybe it could indeed stand to be extended. Then again 2/3s of the movie is fight scenes which will probably end up being boring as heck.

DBM is hilarious right now. So some fans won Cameos for the original characters in DBM. They tried to trap Videl and got the poo poo kicked out of them. The tears are amazing. "There's no way my (and I'm not making GBS threads you) Mage/Pokemon character would get chumped by an earthling as weak as Videl!" Goddamn the DBM team deserve a medal for doing this.
