This is unironically why I think the term "racist" is unhelpful for discussions like this. I see it all the time from bigots on the Japanese Internet too (usually in regard to Koreans) and in their mind, they beat the argument and there's no more introspection they need to do.

I'd be surprised if people outside of politics nerds have even taken notice over here, it was mentioned in the newspapers of course but I think most people would just have seen "oh, some kind of Canadian version of Labour beat some kind of Canadian version of the Tories, how about that" and then forgotten about it. I have a request and hope I didn't miss it on the front page. It's an illustration I THINK was a political cartoon but I can't quite remember if it was. It was of an all female speakeasy with a bunch of bad-rear end looking 1930's women drinking whiskey and checking the wire for horse racing. I think it was one of those "THIS IS A WARNING!" but not sure. I've seen it posted in D&D several times and if anyone has it or knows where I can find it that would be really cool.

What the hell is Ramirez on about.

Like every president before him Obama's DoD told people 'hey let's not just release report after report that says 'we're so hosed oh god so hosed'' and instead focused on the positive narratives they could share.

Clearly this means he tried to actively doctor publicly known footage.

One of Trudeau's signature planks in the recent election was the full legalization of marijuana. Ontario wants to regulate legal weed through the existing Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) which is a provincially owned and operated liquor monopoly.
