No, only people who make construction materials or build houses should be treated like that.

Guessing that they're expensive because they're complex and require lots of labour to design/build as notZarr said, but it becomes an economics thing too; they cost as much as they do because people can take out loans to buy them, so they are designed to that price.

IANAE but my understanding is the availability of credit to businesses and individuals was fundamental to the modern world forming as it has. :effort:

a car does not cost 25,000 dollars to build and they also fall apart far more easily nowdays.

i know that's why they cost as they do, they just shouldn't. i mean i laughed when someone earlier said 30k was 20 down on a house. where i live that isn't even 10 usually (i have that much in the bank and have to keep saving to own a home thanks america).

There's dozens of car manufacturers out there competing all the time, if they could be cheaper they would be.

But no wait, it makes way more sense that all of these companies are actually members of a secret conspiracy dedicated to keeping prices up, my bad. Go on.

cars, in fact, are sold much more cheaply in places where people don't have as much money to spend on cars. i really hope this helps you to stop being stupid.

Technically, non-collectively-bargained payroll is at its natural level, unless there is illegal wage collusion.

if you live in america you are paid at a level which allows the ownership to capture as much of your productivity as possible, the prices you pay have nothing to do with reality and you're just as guilty as the people at the union. hope this helps!

Yeah, I struck a nerve. The payroll of the people making the car has nothing to do with the cost of the car, which is the current discussion. Forget I said anything.
