The game has barely started development dude, they probably haven't gotten the full script done let alone translated into english. (there's no way they are using the old script)

That's not how they're actually dubbing the game. Also the latter is hilariously weabooish.

What the point of speed-dubbing if it's going to look and sound terrible? It's not "weabooish" to cringe at 80s kung fu movie quality dubbing. You leave it in the original language that the footage was developed for, presumably because there was more effort spent there. Anyway, it looks like some of the FFXV mechanics that were removed, like character switching / gun aiming etc has been put back into this? I also read previously that the engine is not the same as in FFXV, which is strange given the mechanics, it looking similar, and the fact they were able to get something up and running so quickly.

Yeah, it looks a little more action RPG-ish, like FFXV, but also around 1:14 that really looks like you're in charge of Barret's attack, since Cloud runs forward and the camera doesn't follow. So it's definitely not just the FFXV engine, at least since you control multiple characters. And the "DEFEND" option at the bottom of the menu makes it seem like it might just be ATB with a lot of animations, since I can't imagine they'd make "defend" NOT assigned to a button, like it always is in Kingdom Hearts if the game is more action-heavy. Either way, I'M REALLY EXCITED THIS LOOKS GREAT AND THERE'S ACTUALLY FOOTAGE OF IT
