I think I prefer the live version of Heresy more than the album, I like them both but the live seems to have more oomph. Is there a particular performance / video that is better than the others?

I keep waiting for somebody else to answer that question because I'm in the same boat but it doesn't seem to be happening!! I will add content and say I finally listened to PHM remastered and really enjoyed it, I guess I haven't actually listened to that album as a whole in a really long time. I also listened to the Ruiner demo for the first time recently and liked that, too. I don't know I always manage to be way behind everyone else on this stuff.

I've always preferred the live versions of "Terrible Lie" over the album version, specifically the one from "And All That Could Have Been".

Yeah, I always loved the one verse delay of the melody in the chorus in the live version of Terrible Lie.

Discipline and 1,000,000 sound way better live compared to the EP imo, especially the live at rehearsals stuff

That ThisOneIsOnUs Heresy video was what I was thinking of! Thanks! I swear it didn't pop up when I was searching. Can't believe that was six years ago.

I'm not going to say this is necessarily better than the proper Closer video but...

Russell Mills has a new 320-page hardback art book coming out called Cargo In The Blood that's limited to 2,000 copies.

Russell Mills posted:

Our renewed collaboration on Hesitation Marks very quickly suggested massive potential for the strange and the familiar to collide and collude in works that I hoped would encapsulate, by allusion, suggestion, metaphor and association, the conceptual ideas imbued in the album as well as in the undertow of its sonic world.

I created a total of 30 pieces for Hesitation Marks and they chose Cargo In The Blood for the cover of the deluxe CD. The title seemed to sum up everything I've been working on for the last 5 - 10 years, this whole idea of something that can be carried in the blood and it could be good or bad, something that could be character-building, something that could be destructive, something that could be positive.
Goes on sale tomorrow for $300.

I kinda figured that was what HtDA stood in for, at least thematically. Wouldn't mind a new album from them too but I'm guessing it'll be a few years if ever

Nothing really overly political. More the post apocalyptic imagery. Especially how long. It was very in line with the future implied by the ending songs of year zero.

This basically sums up how I feel about it. Like, I was super bummed when Lemmy died, but with how that insane fucker lived the surprising thing was more that he didn't die 30 years ago. I never even stopped to consider the idea that David Bowie even could die.

It's a piece of JUNK!
Let's not forget that without "Breaking Glass" there would probably be no "Closer":

And without 1:28+ from "Station To Station" there would be no picked guitar thing that Trent loved so much on The Fragile:

I was there when he played it for the first time on the NIN|JA tour. That setlist blew my mind (also got The Way Out Is Through and Metal for the first time) but Jane's Addiction headlining really put a damper on the whole thing. They were dogshit and I walked out.
