I think that was me. It's a great film but maybe the hype made it seem a bit underwhelming in the end. The story makes the film, and I think the filmmaking struggled to do it justice.

Yeah I feel like they could have done a bit more playing with perspective. The whole carpet rolling bit was claustrophobic as gently caress and everything else felt kind of bland, especially in that second half. Still a great movie though.

Spotlight was pretty dope. Probably the best movie about reporters uncovering hidden shifty truths since Zodiac, a film Mark Ruffalo was also in.

Reading about Spotlight today made me realize that I need to revisit All The President's Men. I haven't seen it since I was like 12.

Yo not to suggest I'm some kind of secret Giants fan or anything but OBJ owns I loving loved the drama on that miss, penalty, CRYING ACTUAL TEARS, makes a sick catch on the next play sequence in overtime today

Yeah, I wanted to smack him and then hug him in the span of about three seconds, it was pretty cool.

Too bad we decided to miss our first field goal of the season today. Not that we wouldn't have lost to a TD on the return.

Bit late to the bus here but the best shot in House is undeniably the bit where Melody is playing on the piano and the camera pans to show that there's a skeleton in the background just rocking the gently caress out.

There's a huge storm tomorrow but it doesn't start until around 17:00. The police, firefighters, meteorologists, and basically everyone else has said that no one should be outside after that time and until the storm blows over. On one hand this means I will be able to get to work but on the other hand it means I won't be able to get home very easily since I don´t get off until 17:00.

This is going to be interesting.

I think you answered your own question - the movies are pretty much the same. Maybe you just got tired of the material.

I know I didn't, I love both those movies. I need to track down the original TV series.

I work in a kindergarten. So there is a slight chance we might be closed but since the storm doesn't really start until 90% of kids have gone home I doubt it. Especially since the last time the authorities told everyone to stay home we were open. There were only like 30 kids in total and we stayed inside the entire time. Although that was a much smaller storm it hit in the morning and was accompanied by a shitload of snow that made it impossible for anyone without proper winter tires to get anywhere without getting stuck.

I'm at very least going to get up a bit earlier and call work to see how things will be handled.

Even more so since the name of Blacula in the film is meant to be demeaning. I just liked that he ends up being more of a tragic anti-hero.
