Indeed, I was inspired by all the people like you who write about nazis who stürm the Finland, so I went to find out. I really wanted to see a real, hard-core, extreme right-wing nazi-march assault while sieg heiling, just to see if the talk and fear is real. Nothing like that was evident. It's not real. It was mostly working and middle class men and women, from 18 to 50 year olds, walking peacefully, no flags, no ideology. There were some leijona-hats, but that is a given in any "Finland!" -type event. Apart from that, no heiling, no marching in goosestep, no listening to Wager, no hate speech, no nothing. Just guys and most of all girls marching with torches to respect Suomi and the fallen. It was clear nobody was against anyone or anything during that walk. If that is what accounts to nazism/fascims these days then I understand your fears but I must say that said fears are loving stupid. The only threat to anything was the random ineffectual group of (far-)leftists trying to stop the march and throwing police with stuff,

However, the National Resistance Movement is not just putting forth a political vision, they are using violence to try to implement it. In other words, they are a terrorist organisation: in fact, an international network of organisations using violence against civilians, with the stated goal of overthrowing governments (and demolishing their independence, by the way) in one Leader-led nazi state. Their members have been convicted of serious crimes. lol :ironiakissa: mikäköhän taho se nyt mahtoi käyttää väkivaltaa poliittisen ohjelmansa ajamiseen itsenäisyyspäivänä fasisteja ne kyllä oli, mutta ne käytti sitä anti-etuliitettä

Fish of hemp posted:What is the point of non-ideolgical marches? "Look how indifferent we are to things! We have no opinions at all!" Ok saying "no ideology" wasn't right, people were certainly kansallismielisiä. But that was the start and end of it, there was no shouting of slogans for some particular political belief. And this is fine and everyone, everywhere, should be able to be so without someone trying to assault them. But there was certainly no hitler -poo poo going on. What I'm trying to say is that you can and should be able to be patriotic without someone trying to throw stones at you, or accusing you of nazism of fascism. These things are not the same. Oldsmobile posted:Hahaha holy poo poo, piss! The D&D response to everything. "D'ahh, someone doesn't agree, HOLY poo poo HOLY poo poo! LOOK HOW BEWILDERED I AM!" Try to explain your case instead? But of course you can't apart from showing a picture with people who certainly look like people you should expect at any nationalist event. Still does not have anything to do with fascism or nazism. Look them on up on google if unclear what ideologies they represent.

Didn't this thread start using Finnish after ScanPol threw a tantrum about Ligur? Anyway, counter-point to mister Lassus, why should national-minded, non-Nazi folks let Nazis take over independence day? If only Nazis soihtukulkue, then all kulkueet are for Nazis, makes u think huh? Alternatively, who could organize a kulkue on independence day without being called a Nazi by the markot? Li Andersson, I suppose, but it doesn't seem entirely reasonable that everyone else who digs independence day is a Nazi by default.

You're basically trying to normalize ultra right wing nationalism and at the same time the right is trying to whitewash a nazi style ideology as just normal nationalism.

Any organization who calls themselves the True Finns or National Front or anything like that is not the same as being called a National Socialist....those are three completely different sets of words. Yup. It seems like I can't even wear an armband anymore without being called a nazi. PEople are so scared of nazis and think that everyone who partakes in nationalist events are national socialists, even if they don't heil and simply just shout thinly veiled nazi ideology marketed to those suspect to fear and ignorance, but I dunno, I guess we just have to live with other people pointing at us and calling us nazis like it is a bad thing (we are NOT and i am sick and tired of having to point this out to people all the time. I have no idea why everyone online is calling me a nazi and not calling anyone else that. it's loving D&D culture, and while it is stupid, I guess I will stike around some more)

Went and saw what was happening yesterday, I was somewhat annyoed when my tram was stopped by the JIHAD WARRIORS OUT OF EUROPE demonstration and I went to see the Rajat kiinni poo poo show, I managed to see the live rendition of Aika polttaa Suomen passi, got some rude looks for explaining Kyuu to my friend. There were quite a few people there once the previous demonstration joined them and the points they made at the demonstration were dumb as gently caress so Im not gonna go through them since you idiots watched the stream anyway. What I was more interested in was the police reaction for tonight and I had a brief conversations with a cop about their equipment and lenght of the night they were gonna have. So, Ive never seen so many riot police, and the way they talked to me and my friends was very professional when they told us to move quite a few times and really no complaints there, the 612 march itself went by and really looked to be comprised of normal people, though I did see some idiots yelling really dumb stuff and being somewhat drunken. I missed all the antifa vs police action but saw the police manouvering around, trying to cut off the antifa. We were stopped by the police trying to enter Temppelinaukio from Runeberginkatu but got there from Fredrikinkatu, where we observed the motti with actual media and other curious on-lookers. The antifa did nothing there, the cops told us to back off a bit but let us watch and film, while they took some demonstrators to a bus one by one. No drama there. I then left to drink beer. So heres some pics from yesterday. https://sendvid.com/w2shtedj Whos Max Blumenthal?
