Is Dreamland a mytharc episode? That was pretty good too.

I don't think it counts, not every episode where the government is the bad guy is mytharc. Like, I'm not sure how The Pine Bluff Variant or Unrequited wound up in that guide on the previous page.

The episode "Closure" would have been the best ending that show could have had. Instead it lurched on for 2-1/2 more.

I kinda love season 6.

Thanks. Maybe I'll just get drunk and keep truckin. I just really, really don't like Spender at all and his face is super punchable.

Edit also Diana(?) the lady that has old connections to Mulder. She's really loving annoying too.

By season 9 even the writers seemed to hate the show and want it to end. I would not be surprised to see the new season ignore or retcon it completely, and probably some of the stuff from seasons 7-8 as well.

If it leads to a better revival, I'm all for that. I bet they ignore I Want To Believe, too.

Dreamland is considered mytharc because the body switch is caused by an alien spaceship outside area 51, and the crew is there specifically to hide its existence. Yes, it is an excuse to do the body switch plot, but still it is directly about the theme of the show.

Pine bluff variant and unrequited are less obvious, but the argument in the forum i got that list from is that they are important to understand Mulder''s subsequent belief that aliens don't exist and it was all stuff planted by the government,

I caught a fun little callback in season 4. In 'Paper Clip' in early season 3, Krycek realizes his car is about to blow up when he sees the digital clock on the dashboard flashing 12:00, and he books it to safety.

In 'Tunguska' in season 4, Krycek gets into a car with Mulder. When Mulder turns it on, Krycek glances at the clock and tenses up, then looks relieved when the clock display isn't flashing. It's subtle but it's really cool for those paying attention.

I'm about halfway through a rewatch and I didn't realize back in the 90s how many episodes Agent Pendrell was in. His unspoken crush on Scully was simultaneously pathetic and adorable. RIP Pendrell, you just wanted to buy Scully a drink. :(

Yeah, but if Pendrell had survived to find out Mulder and Scully were boning each other he'd have turned into their bitterest enemy.

As far as I know, every single extra from every single version of the DVDs are all in the Blu-Ray set. But there's nothing new beyond that.

As a Christmas present, I was given all three seasons of Millennium on DVD, and the very odd thing is that the third season doesn't have a slipcase while the other two do. It's odd how that happens sometimes.

So I just noticed that there was (I guess still is) an X-Files Season 11 comic that started this summer, which just seems strange that they'd do that and try to bill it as an "official continuation" given the miniseries was well into development when they did the comic and will clearly not be following any of it... but also that it had a "Home Again" story arc which seems even more bizarre given an episode of the same name was one of the first things announced in the new season.

Actually, are any of the X-Files comics any good at all? I know Kevin J. Anderson wrote some of the older ones, and his books are pretty terrible, but I felt like his Star Wars comics were better than his novels.

There was a season 10 that started last year and was going before the revival was announced. Season 11 follows that season 10.

I watched season 3 of Millennium for the first time only a few years ago. At that point, I was just happy to see Frank black again. The season 2 finale will always be the real ending.

The season 3 mytharc is entirely forgettable, but there's still some decent serial killer of the week episodes. It's just so much less than what it could have been.

There were like, 3 episodes that stood out to me as exceptional (the two Lucy Butler ones and Borrowed Time). Everything else ranged from mediocre to outright bad. Borrowed Time will always be one of my favorite episodes of the series so I can't completely disregard season 3.

Right, so I'm about half a dozen episodes into the first season of Millennium and I've enjoyed it so far. I reckon if this had come out maybe 10 years later, it could've been a huge hit; it reminds me a lot of Criminal Minds, only with a kind of mystical dimension.

Yes, as long as you don't get hung up on realism in your sci-fi military. Having the same unit be ace fighter pilots and ground troops turns a lot of people off.

The finale remains one of my favorite hours of television to this day.

The X-Files started when I was a toddler and SG-1 was my show as a kid (before Teevo), so I never got the chance to really watch until it came on Netflix. I caught a few episodes scattered across seasons 3+ culminating in Anasazi, leaving me confused as hell. I watched the movie on TV as a teenager, became even more confused beyond the basic premise.

Half way through season two and I love it.Trust No One

Random production comment: I hadn't realized how many X-Files locations Supernatural uses for filming. Jeez CW is cheap.
