Kennel posted:drat I'm happy they removed the licensing few years ago and made it an automatic tax for everyone. Such a pointless hassle. They are doing this in Germany since 2013, except they get billions of Euros, blow it on expensive broadcast licenses for sport events, dozens of channels and still show commercials. Meanwhile, privately-owned channels encrypt their HD channels, so you are paying for upscaled shows and HD commercials.

Oh absolutely, the TV licensing people actually cautioning people as if they're the police is clearly a powerless intimidation tactic, especially when the police are stood in the same room shrugging their shoulders and saying "Nothing to do with us guv". Mainly referred to sovereign citizen stuff because a lot of the TV license protestors seem to have a key set of buzzwords.

EDIT: Also the final one was pretty great as well. It's also amazing how incompetent drivers get with roundabouts. Inner lane is for turning right and going straight, outer lane is for turning left and going straight. Testekill has a new favorite as of 03:46 on Dec 8, 2015 |

When you're doing a hook turn, you actually have to wait until the lights change before you turn. It's not just waiting until it's clear.

Whoa, that's the corner of Williams and Bourke St, one block from my office. Freaky. I'll be taking a drive test soon and it's probably going to be at a Vic Roads office far, far away from the city 'cause forget driving around a place with hook turns and trams and a million jay walkers.

Some government schadenfreude anyone? Okay so some Dutch town got a deal with a waste processing company. The company sold a bit of their ground to the town so the town could extend a road. The company would then get another bit of ground as compensation, and the town would make sure that all permits for waste storage and stuff are in order for the new piece of land. But the town failed to get the permits in order and says it's a task of the province government and yada yada. Everyone's blaming each other. The owner of the trash processing company got fed up with this, so he decided to dump a mountain of trash on the new road.
