There's a specific section in the main menu to let you play 2 player modes of several of the minigames, VF2 is included, along with an online mode.

Imagine how much more sad and lonely we would be if not for the hard work of lowtax. Here's $12.95 to his aid.
15% PS+ rebate is what we get for Yak5 in Europe, lasts until the 23rd which will be the day I buy it, wanna wait and see what the future * days of christmas deals hold in store first.

Ishin had me coming back to it after finishing it (and even having an NG+ save), Yak4 was hard to return to, would Yak5 be more Ishin or Yak4 for me?

I know there's a "Reminisce" feature on the main menu, but I didn't go into it, but that's where the "Previously on Yakuza" videos were in the other games.

Stupid work and stupid company Christmas dinner getting in the way of me punching stupid punks in their stupid faces. Fortunately I'm off tomorrow, so I've got all day to peacock moms and punch tigers.

The Reminisce feature is just for watching cutscenes you've already seen before, apparently. I tried it first-thing and it wouldn't even let me select it. I just looked up a brief plot synopsis for a recap, since it's been so long since playing Y3/4 that I forgot about everything. :downs:

Guys apparently if you're in a fight as Kiryu and you press Down on the D-Pad, Kiryu stops to take a smoke break.

I don't think it has any benefit besides looking cool, but just now some Devil Killer punk tried to get up in my poo poo. So I beat his rear end down with a combo, lit up while he was writhing on the ground, then when I was done I HEAT-stomped his face to finish him off.

I'm not sure I'll ever do that again, but the fact that I can makes this game loving rule.

That ties into a HEAT move, as I recall, where Kiryu will flick his lit cigarette into the face of his opponent and then lay a beatdown on him. So it's already badass, but can become even more badass.

I think that's part of a HEAT move in itself, where Kiryu spits the lit cigarette into the face of some punk before he beats his rear end down.

I mean, you're gonna miss out on the part where Majima tells you to put your controller on the table and moves it around with the power of his mind, but other than that, you might as well be comfortable.

Fighting styles. Majima and Kiryu both get three distinct fighting styles of their own. One of Majima's is basically Baseball-Bat-Fu.

Yeah, Kiryu gets a sort of prototype for his fighting style in the other games which is a lot clumsier and thugish in 0, a rush style where he does a flurry of quick punches and dodges and a bruiser style where he can pick up heavy objects and tank hits like a champ.

Majima gets the fighting style you see him have in all the games you fight him in, a baseball bat style where he does stylish moves with a bat and a dancer style where he breakdances and is good for crowd control.

Edit: This is the sort of stuff Majima can do in 0.
