I'm sorry if I'm spoiling everybody's good time.

ISO: Bourbon GBS. Just saw in the regular beer thread that it's being released soon and limits are higher than usual.

FT: Here's the thing. I don't have access to many exotic things since I'm locked in mid-Missouri, and I'm not sure what GBS trades for generally. My cellar currently consists of things like Oude Tart, Saison Rue, Speedway Stout, Victory at Sea, a couple BCBS, Love Child #5. There are a few good local breweries in the area like Bur Oak, Second Shift, Logboat, and Piney River that distribute some decent stuff if you're into that kinda thing. Of course there's also 4 Hands and Urban Chestnut who do solid stuff in MO - 4 Hands in fact just released a variety pack of their Chocolate Milk Stout in horchata and tiki, which is apparently coffee and coconut. If none of this interests you, hit me up anyway and I'm sure we can figure something out.

Looking for a couple bcbs. Everywhere I go they have it at 17-20$ a bottle and I refuse to pay that much.

I've got 13, 14 and 15 dark lord to trade, or anything local in Indiana (all 3 floyds distro, shorts, bells 30th, and most Sheldon bros.).

I don't have PMs, email is jasonbohm3@gmail.com.

Lemme know and we can work something out.

What's the actual value of BCBS and the variants? I'd like to get a flight going and I have actual rare poo poo like DDG and/or Alesmith BA Kopi Luwak Speedway, but those were all expensive to begin with

I have three cases of BCBS and 8 barley wines. I'd happily part with some for some dark lord and/or 3 floyds.

PM me and we can work it out.

Obviously it depends on the variant but I would assume DDG would pull 2-3. BA Alesmith stuff would be closer to 1-2.

And if you haven't been keeping up: don't trade for Prop 15 which is loving awful.

Yeesh no thanks. DDG and BA Kopi are actual rare, not fake hoarded-rare like BCBS.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one to Flavortown, and that has made all the difference.

You Chicago people could probably make a killing in the Philly trade groups because I've seen some ridiculous things happen for Prop 15.

Scroll down to see what binnys (major liquor store in Illinois) prices were. That's pretty much baseline.

Edit: Sorry, didn't realize which thread I was in. You probably meant trade value...

If I had a shot at one, I would have bought one. My plan was to put it up on TB for a 4/6 pack of a local IPA. I've been very tempted to PM people looking for it on there and tell them they will regret whatever trade they make.

I exist in this weird space where I still have a lot of cool poo poo in my cellar but I haven't given a gently caress about whale hunting in a year or two so its all just old stuff or stuff that was super easy to get.

It's just way easier to just find the bottle whale-y poo poo on draft, really.

I think I know a shop that always has the basics in stock, but I'd recommend exhausting every other option first. I think they mark up to like $50 for the regular 750s. :(

All of the Cantillon I've ever bought I got at a random beer store in Paris where all of the bottles were 14-17€...Can't you get it shipped straight from Europe for less per 750 than that?

Sure, if I want more than 1 bottle. Note: I won't pay these prices, either, for myself. I guess maybe if it was a special occasion, I didn't have notice, and none of the local restaurants had a bottle, then maaaayyyybe. The store is just a stupid gouge. They sell Russian River etc., too, but are totally clueless about beer. Back in the day, Cantillon was only marked up to about $30 here (DC).

Yeah, looking back on young 28 year old me, all of 7 years ago, when I used to have to drive an hour for a bottle shop or growler fill..... there was this store I would frequent for bottles,a nd I distinctly remember 4 or 5 different Cantillons on the shelf, and me going "who would pay $25 for a bottle of beer?" ... oh my how times change.

If I could turn back time and buy the shelf of 3F Schaerbeekse Kriek I once saw in 2009 for $35 a pop, I'd have told myself to buy more than 2 bottles. gently caress, those were such good days and never saw this insane explosion over chasing beer happening

Seriously. I remember coming home from college and seeing the local Binny's packed full of 3F.

The big upcharge came in 2012 where prices went up 30-50%. That is, at least in Chicago.
