Like, a lot of it was enemies having trouble with high platforms or floor-over-floor stuff where they'd magically teleport to ground level if they touched a ledge, or being unable to progress because your AI buddies got their limbs caught on something half a level back, etc. Even that very first section with the bats killed me a few times because enemies from way up high would suddenly appear next to me out of nowhere.

I can see Pat's pov on the charge-up. In Bloodborne, the charge-up is the alternative way you have at your disposal to set enemies up for critical attacks, and as he and Woolie learned in the main playthrough, it sometimes works on bosses too (breaking Amelia's limbs, crit-attacking the Cleric Beast) when bullets do not. So from his perspective, the charge-up does a lot of damage, and can then likely be followed up on with a crit attack for a lot of massive fuckoff damage. To sane people, that's not worth the risk of instant death with no guard. To Pat, it is.

I had no idea yakuza 5 was even being released in english, I've played them all even the psp and zombie one. So cool! Now 0 is coming out in english too, I thought sega gave up on this series years ago. Also that jedi mod owns, force push stormtrooper arms off everyday.

With the surprise announcement of Yakuza 0 at PSX I hope they maybe got convinced to keep at it thanks to Yakuza 5 preorders. But then again one of the localizers had already said that sales of Yakuza 5 wouldn't affect future localization decisions in a stream a month or so ago.

I recently booted up Jedi Outcast and yeah the shooting isn't amazing. I'm not sure if it's because it's not meant for modern mice or maybe it's was always not great but I had a lot of trouble playing it. Game becomes amazing once you get the light saber though.

I remember the deal K-Mart had where if you buy Yakuza 4 you get 3 at a super discount (or free? been a long time), but finding 3 was in the few stores they had was impossible. I had to end up e-mailing some corporate dude to get it.

Yeah, I sorta just stepped into Yakuza 3 and watched the whole recap and was like "Yeah, that was definitely some Yakuzaing." Then I played Yakuza 3 and fought the CIA Agent man and a dude named Daigo and thought "This game is really good."
