It doesn't actually have a lot of blood or action (there are lot of long conversations and head tilts though), the action looks really good when they do go in though

Monogatari isn't constantly super bloody, it just has some scenes where it uses really extreme, stylized violence. The upside is that usually nobody gets too badly hurt in the end.
