Christ, why do people insist on mounting cabinets directly to the walls? I had to fix my fiancée mother's cabinets because they were one serving dish away from turning into this.

French Cleats assholes. Plus you can make sure they're leveled before you even hang them.

I see this as an issue of not locating the studs properly. Cleats are fine and all, but improperly attached cleats can do the same thing.

Broke the flush lever i'm guessing

Something similar, although nowhere near as bad, happened at my work. The autoflush mechanism for one of the urinals broke, the urinal overflowed as the water kept pouring in, and then the automatic paper towel dispenser had its motion sensor triggered by the flowing water, and discharged its entire load of paper towels all over the floor.

I like to think that it was just trying to help.

"According to the statement, WM Entertainment's representatives say authorities may have been suspicious because the group, who range in age from 16 to 21, was travelling with so many 'props and clothing'."

to be fair isn't there a ton of allegations that kpop stars are sex workers? or was that jpop?

I'm not familiar with that. I know that with J-Pop they have a really disgusting thing where the supposed virginity of the pop stars is valued over everything else, to sell the idea of them being pure and sweet girls for creepy fans to obsess over dating. Any idol who doesn't maintain the fake cutsey pie virgin routine and play nice for the creepy otakus gets canned.

Yeah didn't some girl have to publicly shave her hair off after it was discovered she had a boyfriend?

Edit yes, jeez.

quote:

Minegishi was one of the original members of AKB48 when it was launched by producer Yasushi Akimoto in 2005. The band is made up of some 90 girls - whose ages range from mid teens to early 20s - who, in teams, appear daily in their own theatre and regularly on television, in adverts, and in magazines.

They portray an image of cuteness known as "kawaii", and have become a huge phenomenon both in Japan and increasingly in other Asian countries, correspondents say.

The condition for being part of such a successful act is that the girls must not date boys, so as not to shatter their fans' illusions.

AKB48's management office said Minegishi had been demoted to a trainee team as punishment "for causing a nuisance to the fans".

And there's BiS, an idol group with JAV stars who did a music video where they ran naked through a forest.

The idol industry is pretty different these days. The Minegishi scandal was how many years ago?
